Eine Kerze ist viel mehr als nur die Kombination der
einzelnen Bestandteile Wachs, Docht und Farbe. Eine
Kerze schafft Atmosphäre und Wohlbehagen, sie weckt
schöne Erinnerungen und tiefe Emotionen, sie ist der
kleine Luxus für jeden Tag.

Seit der Gründung des Unternehmens im Jahre 1861
durch Ludwig Wiedemann sind Kerzen unsere Passion.
Heute fertigen unsere rund 80 Mitarbeiter mit viel
Engagement, Hingabe und vor allem Erfahrung, jeden Tag
ein Stück dieser Emotionen, Qualitätskerzen „Made in
Germany“, mitten im Herzen des Kulturviertels der Stadt
Deggendorf.
Qualität ist für uns nicht nur ein Begriff, sondern eine

Daher sind alle von uns gefertigten Wiedemann Kerzen
mit dem „RAL-Gütesiegel“ ausgezeichnet.
Tradition bedeutet nicht nur Geschichte zu bewahren,
sondern auch Verantwortung für die Zukunft zu übernehmen. Wir übernehmen diese Verantwortung im
Rahmen unseres Nachhaltigkeitskonzepts „we balance“.
Die von uns produzierten Kerzen tragen daher das Markenzeichen „green candle".
Unser Credo lautet „Keine Zukunft ohne Herkunft“.
Bei Wiedemann werden alle Produktionstechniken
der Kerzenherstellung praktiziert: ob traditionell oder
modern, wir bewahren die Tradition des ursprünglichen
Wachskunsthandwerks des Kerzenziehens und -verzierens und sind Marktführer im Bereich Anlasskerzen.
Daneben produzieren wir industriell im Mehrschichtbetrieb mit entsprechenden Kapazitäten für termingerechte Lieferung von Großaufträgen. Die Wiedemann
Farbpalette gilt derzeit als führend, auch in der Floristik.
Das Wiedemann Sortiment ist lebendig, farbaktuell und
wird ständig auch durch Ihre Anregungen weiterentwickelt und optimiert. Wir legen größten Wert auf

Since the foundation of the company in 1861 by Ludwig
Wiedemann candles are our passion. Today our 80
employees craft a piece of these emotions every day with a
lot of engagement, dedication and most of all with a lot of
experience. Quality candles “Made in Germany” manufactured in the heart of the cultural district of the city of
Deggendorf.
For us quality is not only a term but an attitude which we

Im Interesse einer zukunftsorientierten Entwicklung und als Teil unserer
sozialen Verantwortung beschäftigen wir uns intensiv mit dem Thema
Nachhaltigkeit in Form einer ökosozialen Marktwirtschaft. Schutz von
Klima und Umwelt, verantwortungsvoller Umgang mit Energie und Rohstoffen, Reduzierung von Emissionen und Abfall, Förderung internationaler CO2-Kompensationsprojekte sowie soziales Engagement spielen dabei
eine zentrale Rolle.

Nachhaltigkeit fasst viele Ziele zusammen. Es ist ein mehrdimensionales Konzept, der
Versuch der Herbeiführung einer Balance zwischen verschiedenen Bereichen des Lebens: von der
Ökologie über Ressourcen und Klima bis hin zu sozialem Frieden und kultureller Vielfalt in einer
Welt ökonomischer und politischer Freiheit, aber auch einer Welt individueller und gemeinsamer
Verantwortung.
Unsere 150-jährige Tradition bedeutet nicht nur Geschichte zu bewahren, sondern auch Verantwortung für die
Zukunft zu übernehmen. In diesem Kontext zielen wir auf Nachhaltigkeit und entwickeln gemeinsam mit dem
renommierten Forschungsinstitut für anwendungsorientierte Wissensverarbeitung (FAW/n) in Ulm und seinem
Vorstand Professor Dr. Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher Elemente eines Stufenplans zur Umsetzung eines Nachhaltigkeitskonzepts für unsere Produkte und das gesamte Unternehmen Wiedemann.
Was bedeutet Nachhaltigkeit für unser Unternehmen?
Wir stellen sicher, dass in den Entstehungsprozessen unseres Produktes weder an Menschen noch an der Umwelt
Raubbau betrieben wird. Wir kompensieren Klimagasemissionen, nutzen erneuerbare Energiequellen und übernehmen soziale Verantwortung.
Das Unternehmen Wiedemann werden wir in den nächsten Jahren schrittweise von der Produktion und der Logistik bis hin zum Marketing völlig klimaneutral stellen. Das Paraffin in den Kerzen, von dem der größte Teil
des mit unseren Produkten verbundenen CO2-Ausstoßes ausgeht, neutralisieren wir schon heute – in
vollem Umfang. Wir wollen Vorreiter sein und zu Recht sagen können, dass von unserem Unternehmen und den von uns produzierten Kerzen in der Summe aller Aktivitäten und Prozesse

As part of a future-focused development and our social responsibility we concentrate
on sustainability with regards to an eco-social market economy. Climate and environmental protection, responsible handling of energy and resources, reduction
of emission and waste, promotion of international carbon dioxid compensation
projects as well as social commitment are major issues of our concern.

Sustainability embraces various ambitions. It is a multidimensional concept, the effort to achieve a

Our 150 years of tradition not only imply preservation of earlier achievements but also to take responsibility for the
future. In this context we are dedicated to the overall aim of sustainability which we are implementing in cooperation
with the established Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing (FAW/n) in Ulm, Germany. In collaboration
with the FAW/n chairperson Prof. Dr. Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher we have developed elements of a sustainability
strategy concerning our products and the complete Wiedemann venture.
What does sustainability imply for our company?
We indemnify that during the manufacturing process of our product no harm is done to neither human beings nor
to the environment. We do compensate carbon gas emission, employ renewable energy, increase energy efficiency and
operate according to our social responsibility.
In the coming years, the Wiedemann cooperation from production and logistics up to marketing will progressively evolve to a climate neutral operating company. In our candles paraffin represents the largest
part being responsible for carbon emissions. We completely neutralize this part of our activities
already today. We rightfully want to take care that our cooperation and the Wiedemann manufactured candles do not impose any burden on climate.

Ratgeber zur Kerzenpflege
Instructions for use of candles
1. Die Kerze ist ein lebendiges Licht. Sie muss gepflegt
werden und darf als „offenes Feuer“ nicht unbeobachtet abgebrannt werden.

2. Kerzen nicht zu dicht neben- oder untereinander
brennen.
3.Streichholzreste, Dochtstücke oder andere Fremdkörper aus dem Brennteller entfernen.
4. Kerzen vertragen keine Zugluft, dadurch beginnen sie
zu rußen, zu tropfen und brennen einseitig ab.
5. Wenn die Kerze sichtbar rußt, Docht während des
Brennens vorsichtig kürzen, nötigenfalls auslöschen.
6. Bei einseitigem Abbrand Docht vorsichtig zur Seite biegen. Einen erstarrten Docht nicht biegen oder abbrechen.
7. Einen zu hohen Kerzenrand kann man im warmen
Zustand abschneiden. Kerzen mit überstehendem
Rand in regelmäßigen Abständen nachschneiden
(mindestens alle 4 Stunden).

6. In case of one-sided burning, bend the wick carefully
aside, never bend or break a solidified wick.
7. A candle’s edge that is too high must be cut in warm
condition (minimum every 4 hours).
8. Burn the candle until the wax is melt to a pool on the
candle’s head.
9. For extinguishing please dip the wick into the liquid
waxpool and reset it up.

In-Celloware bietet viele Vorteile, wenn die Kerze einzeln an den Endverbraucher verkauft wird:
1. Nur Kerzen in Cellophan sind mit einem Einzeletikett versehen,
welches alle wichtigen Produktinformationen zeigt:
a. EAN-Code scannbar für Ihr Kassensystem
b. Abbrandsymbole für Produktsicherheit und Produkthaftung
c. Brenndauer als Verkaufsargument
d. „RAL-Gütezeichen” als Qualitätsmerkmal für „Made in Germany”
e. „green candle” Markenzeichen: der Umwelt zuliebe
f. Artikelbezeichnung und Artikelgröße.
2. Cellophan schützt die Oberfläche der Kerze vor Schmutz und Verkratzen. Somit bleibt der Wert Ihrer Lagerware länger erhalten.
Alle Kerzen werden ASF-fähig produziert (siehe Seite 9).
ASF-Folie gegen Aufpreis erhältlich.
Candles in cellophane offer many advantages, if the single candle is sold
to the consumer:
1. Only candles in cellophane do have an individual label, which
shows important product information:
a. UPC for regular POS-Systems
b. burning symbols for product safety and product liability
c. burning time as a sales argument
d. “RAL-Seal” of approval for quality “Made in Germany”
e. “green candle” brand name: for the love of the environment
f. article description and product measurements.
2. Cellophane protects the candle surface from dust and scratches.
Thus the value of your stock remains.
All candles are produced ASF compatible (please see page 9).

Die hier vorgestellten Regalkonzepte sind nach Laufmeter Regalfläche unterschiedlich und passen sich
somit flexibel Ihrer Ladengröße an. Integrieren Sie die
Kerzenwand in Ihr bestehendes Ladenbausystem ohne großen Aufwand und zusätzlich benötigter Lagerfläche. Die hier empfohlenen Konzepte enthalten

Lösungen.
Die auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite dargestellten Sets „Mini“, „Medium“ und „Optimum“ sind von 1,25 bis 2,50
Laufmetern berechnet und als Komplett-Lösung zu bestellen. Die hier gewählten Farben und Größen entsprechen
unseren TOP-SELLERN und sind im Set nicht austauschbar. Sie bestehen aus je einer VE pro Farbe und Größe. Bei
den angegeben Regalmaßen entstehen somit nur geringe Lagerüberhänge.

You have no free space for a new sales furniture piece?
No problem, the Wiedemann POS shelf concepts can be
easily integrated into your existing shelf system.
We have developed a professional POS concept, which
enables you to present candles as non-seasonal item
with increased potential sales volume. In addition this
presentation offers you a competitive advantage to
big-chain markets.
The presented POS shelf concepts vary in the available linear meter and do adjust to your store size. Integrate the candle wall into your existing store furniture
layout without extra effort and no additional storage
space needed.
The recommended concepts only include articles, which are on stock at Wiedemann and therefore are immediately
available as required without additional cost.
Offer a lively candle presentation to your customer, in switching between seasons by only changing a few colors from
“spring/summer” to “fall/winter” season. In presenting a harmonious color gradient, you turn the consumer item
candle into an attractive, all seasonal item with increased sales volume potential.
For Christmas season, we do recommend to additionally present classical Christmas colors and sizes outside the shelf
concept. Please see pages 46-47 for our ¼ pallet POS solutions.
On the opposite page you can see the three POS sets “mini”, “medium” and “optimum”, which are customized according to the running meter of your shelf system from 1,25 meters to 2,50 meters. You can order the complete sets. The
chosen colors and sizes are our top-sellers and cannot be changed within the set-offer, which includes one unit per
color and size. The quantities are planned for only little excess storage needs.
Re-orders are simply done as necessary with the help of the included re-ordering set form.
Upon request we provide advertisement materials such as our posters (see page 53-55), banner, flyers and information cards.
