Ratgeber zur Kerzenpflege
Instructions for use of candles
Die Kerze ist ein lebendiges Licht. Sie muss gepflegt und als
„offenes Feuer“ ständig beobachtet werden.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Kerzen nicht zu dicht neben- oder untereinander brennen.
Do not place candles in a draught
Streichholzreste, Dochtstücke oder andere Fremdkörper
gehören nicht in den Brennteller.
Take action if you see excess soot:
Kerzen vertragen keine Zugluft. Dadurch beginnen sie zu
rußen, zu tropfen und brennen einseitig ab.
- Does the wick need shortening?
Wenn die Kerze sichtbar rußt, Docht während des Brennens
vorsichtig kürzen, nötigenfalls auslöschen.
Bei einseitigem Abbrand Docht vorsichtig zur Seite biegen.
Einen erstarrten Docht niemals biegen oder gar abbrechen.
Einen zu hohen Kerzenrand kann man im warmen Zustand
abschneiden. Bei dekorierten Kerzen überstehenden Rand in
regelmäßigen Abständen nachschneiden. Dekorreste, Lackreste und Schmutz aus dem Brennteller entfernen.
Do not burn candles near flammable materials

- Trim wick to approximately 1,5 cm
Candles with a Ø of 40 mm or more should burn over a
considerable time so that the wax pool completely liquefies.
Otherwise a wax wall will be formed around the wick impairing
the flame.
A slight curve of the wick is appropriate. Should the candle burn
one-sided, push the wick slightly to the opposite side while the
candle is still burning. Never bend or break a stiff wick.
Kerzen immer solange brennen bis der ganze Brennteller

Den Docht zum Löschen in die flüssige Wachsmasse tauchen
und wieder aufrichten. So steht dieser anschließend richtig
zum Anzünden.

Mai lasciare le candele accese incustodite.
La bougie est une lumière vive. Tout comme un feu, elle ne doit
pas être laissée sans surveillance lorsqu’elle est allumée.
Rimuovere tutti gli imballi er etichette prima dell’uso.
Accenderre le candele su portacandele specifici o su superfice
protette e resistenti al calore.
Tenere le fiamma lontan da meriali infiammabili come tende,
tapoeti, libri, decorazioni etc.
Evitare di esporre la fiamma a correnti d’aria. Eviterete inutili
gocciolii della candela ed un eccessivo consumo, inoltre il vento
puo’ portare oggetti infiammabili sulla fiamma della candela.
Tenere le candele fuori dalla portata di bambni e animali
domestici.
Lasciare almeno 5-7 cm di distanze tra uno fiamma e l’altra.
Mai lasciare residui di fiammifero o altro all’interno della candela, puo’essere una causa di pericolose seconde fiamme.
Non accendere candele in contenitori di vetro il cui contenitore
si rpesenta rotto o scheggiato.
Mai soffiar o usare acqua per spegnere le candele.
Ne pas placer les bougies trop près les unes des autres
Ne pas laisser d’allumettes, de morceaux de mèche ou d’autres
corps étrangers sur le support de la bougie.
Pour éviter à la bougie de fumer, de goutter ou qu’elle ne se consume uniquement sur un côté, ne pas la placer en courant d’air.
Si la bougie fume beaucoup, raccourcir prudemment la mèche
encore allumée, au besoin l’éteindre.
Si la bougie se consume d’un seul côté, redresser la mèche prudemment. Ne jamais tordre une mèche solidifiée par la paraffine, elle se casserait.
Si la bougie se creuse trop, il est possible de réduire la hauteur
en coupant le tour lorsque la bougie est encore chaude. En ce
qui concerne les bougies déco, recouper le bord qui dépasse à
intervalles réguliers. Enlever les éventuels restes de motifs, de
laque ou les divers résidus du support de la bougie.
Les bougies brûlent jusqu’à ce que la cire soit complètement
réduite en liquide.

Pour éteindre la mèche, la plonger dans la masse de cire liquide
et la redresser. Elle est ainsi prête à être allumée.
