Modern und zentral gelegen: So präsentiert sich
Ihnen das Gelände der Messe Frankfurt auf über
578.000 qm Grundfläche. Es verfügt über eine

In the shadow of the 256-metre Messeturm (Messe
tower), facing the city centre, an impressive trio of
buildings – Congress Center, Festhalle and Forum –
greet visitors at the eastern end of the fairground,
whilst in the west, the ultra-modern Portalhaus and
directly adjacent Hall 11 bid them welcome from
afar.

setzte das Frankfurter Architekturbüro KSP Engel
und Zimmermann Maßstäbe für moderne Veranstaltungslocations. Der ellipsenförmige Glasbau
vereint Eleganz und Funktionalität: Das Forum
bietet Ihnen neben vielseitigen Nutzungsmöglichkeiten eine direkte Verbindung zur Festhalle und
eine Anbindung an das Congress Center sowie zu
allen weiteren Gebäuden auf dem Messegelände.
Tradition trifft Emotion
Tradition meets emotion
1907 brachte der Münchner Architekt Friedrich
von Thiersch das Profil der Festhalle aufs Reißbrett. Nur knapp zwei Jahre später, im Mai 1909,
eröffnete Kaiser Wilhelm II. den glanzvollen
Bau. Der restaurierte und in Teilen rekonstruierte
Kuppelbau verfügt heute über moderne Veranstaltungskompetenz auf großem Raum: Über
6.000 qm Innenraumfläche sowie die architektonisch reizvollen Ränge bieten Ihnen Kapazität für
bis zu 13.500 Personen. Drei historische Säle sowie
Büro- und Garderobenräume runden das Angebot
ab. Die Verbindung mit der Halle 1 und dem Forum
sowie die Nähe zu Congress Center und Halle 3
bieten Ihnen Möglichkeiten für Veranstaltungen

The Munich architect Friedrich von Thiersch first
drew the plans for the Festhalle in 1907 and Kaiser
Wilhelm II opened the magnificent edifice just under
two years later in May 1909. Now the refurbished
dome structure is home to the very latest in largescale event expertise – the 6,000 sqm of interior
space and the architecturally appealing balconies
can accommodate up to 13,500 people. Three stylish
rooms as well as offices and cloakrooms, complete
the package. The interconnectedness of the
Festhalle, Hall 1 and Forum, combined with the
proximity to the Congress Center and Hall 3, offer
exciting possibilities for events of any size in a
setting in which historic charm combines with
imposing elegance to create a memorable ambience.

Fläche geben je 2.000 Personen Platz – viel Raum

und Abendveranstaltungen. Ebenerdig, mit der
großzügigen Freifläche Agora vor der Tür, liegt
der große, verglaste Saal Areal. In der Ebene 1
befindet sich der Saal Panorama – zweifach

Zimmermann set new standards in modern
event locations with this versatile, transparent
building. The elliptical glass construction
combines elegance and functionality. As well
as being multifaceted and suitable for a wide
range of uses, the Forum is directly connected
to the Festhalle and is also linked to the Congress
Center and all other buildings on the exhibition
site.
Two halls flooded with natural light, each
around 2,300 sqm in extent and each capable of
accommodating 2,000 guests – plenty of room
for your conferences, banquets, accompanying
exhibitions and evening events. On the ground
floor, with the generous open space of the Agora
at its doors, lies the large, glass-fronted Areal Hall.
Panorama Hall, which can be partitioned twice,
offers a spellbinding view from the first floor.

Frankfurt welcomes its guests at the west of
the exhibition site. The impressive 26-metre-high
entrance hall and spacious foyers on the floors
above represent the perfect context for all types
of special events for up to 2,000 guests. Meeting
rooms and offices round off the amenities and the
stylish forecourt affords an unobstructed view of the
elegant, modern architecture. With over 23,000 sqm
of exhibition space, the split-level Hall 11, which
is directly adjacent, provides the ideal annex for
those with extensive space requirements. The two
buildings cover a unique spectrum of event options
with astonishing ease.

Rich in diversity, the Frankfurt fairground offers not
only the Congress Center, the Forum and the Festhalle
but also nine trade fair halls with room for events
and exhibitions of almost any size. There’s plenty of
space for open-air activities, as well as vast exhibition
space, in some cases with column-free interiors with
a high load-bearing capacity, direct vehicle access and
often directly adjacent car parks – everything, in short,

the buildings are linked by a covered moving walkway,

The 700,000 citizens residing between the
large urban forest and the Taunus hills are
joined in the daytime by 300,000 commuters
to take Frankfurt’s population over the million
mark. With its stock market and its banks –
including the headquarters of the European
Central Bank (ECB) – making it one of Europe’s
leading financial centres, the city is dynamic,
fast-moving, international and modern.
Frankfurt’s population is also younger than
that of other cities, one reason being the wide
variety of opportunities for further education
on offer. With eight international and ten
domestic universities – including the prestigious
Goethe University, which alone has 41,000
students – Frankfurt is a centre of learning
with a particular appeal to young people.

Frankfurt ist aber auch gemütlich. Zum Beispiel in den Apfelweinkneipen, wo man sich
am Feierabend zu einem Schoppen trifft und
den fast dörflichen Charme alter Frankfurter

zu Fuß in 20 Minuten durchquert. Frankfurt

But Frankfurt is also convivial, with its cosy
Apfelwein taverns, where you can meet for a
drink after work, and the almost rural charm of
its old quarter. You can traverse the city centre
on foot in a mere 20 minutes, but Frankfurt
also boasts a perfectly developed transport
network comprising over- and underground
railways and trams. 170 hotels with some
20,000 rooms are all easily accessible – 5,700
within walking distance of the exhibition site
alone.
