Frankfurt is easy to reach by all forms of
transport: by plane with the nearby airport,
by car with the well developed road network
of the Rhine-Main region, by train with the
train station which is just around the corner
as well as by public transport. The central
location of the Kap Europa ensures that jour­

Lebenszyklus des Gebäudes berücksichtigt:
von der abfallarmen Baustelle bis zum umweltfreundlichen Rückbaukonzept.

For the certification, the entire life cycle of the
building was taken into consideration from
the low waste building site to an environmentally friendly dismantling concept.

Bau und Materialien Beim Bau und Ausbau wurden alle
Materialien und Baustoffe auf Umweltverträglichkeit
und Emissionswerte geprüft. Der Großteil der Hölzer
stammt aus heimischem Bestand.
Flächennutzung Der Bruttorauminhalt im Gebäude
wird effektiv genutzt und nicht verschwendet. Dadurch
entsteht ein optimiertes Verhältnis zwischen Nutzfläche und Bauvolumen.
Betonkern Der Betonkern wird zur Nachtauskühlung
und zur Unterstützung der Klimatisierung genutzt.
Fassade und Fenster Tageslichthelle Foyers sowie energetisch optimierte Fensterflächen und Fassaden senken
den Energieverbrauch, schaffen gleichzeitig ein einladendes Ambiente und führen zu einer besonderen Wohlfühlatmosphäre.
Gründach Das 1.000 qm große Gründach verbessert die
CO2-Bilanz des Gebäudes.
Komponenten Durch den Einsatz von wassersparenden
Armaturen, LED Beleuchtung und intelligenter Lichtund Gebäudesteuerung werden fossile Energiequellen
aktiv geschont.
Ökostrom Das Kap Europa bezieht von der Mainova AG
ausschließlich Grünstrom aus regenerativen Quellen,
mit dem der Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien mit einem
festgelegten Betrag je Kilowattstunde gefördert wird.
Schallschutz Schallschutz und Sprachqualität liegen
deutlich über den Durchschnittsanforderungen.
Veranstaltungstechnik Durch die Neuanschaffung energieeffizienter Geräte sowie die Neuentwicklung ressourcenschonender Lösungen sind wir engagiert in Sachen
umweltbewusster Technik.
Catering Accente Services bezieht die frischen Produkte für die Zubereitung der Speisen überwiegend
von regionalen Lieferanten. Soweit möglich wird auf
Lebensmittel mit Farb-, Konservierungs- und Zusatzstoffen sowie auf Einwegverpackungen verzichtet.
Reinigung Die verwendeten Reinigungsmittel unterliegen der Einhaltung sämtlicher Aspekte des Umweltschutzes. Im Besonderen der Verwendung ökologisch
einwandfreier und erneuerbarer Rohstoffe sowie der
biologischen Abbaubarkeit.
Kulturelle Komponente Die Verwendung bildender Kunst
bei der Raumgestaltung gehört zu den Voraussetzungen
für die Verleihung des DGNB-Zertifikats. Mit Hilfe eines
Wettbewerbs wurde das Lichtkunstwerk „Crossover“ der
Berliner Künstlerin Barbara Trautmann ausgewählt.
Lage und Vernetzung Das Kap Europa ermöglicht umweltschonende Mobilität: mit einer idealen Anbindung
an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr und die umliegenden
Hotels.
Building and materials In the building and finishing, all
materials and building materials were tested for their
environmental compatibility and emission values. Most

Components Through the use of water-saving plumbing
fixtures, LED luminaires and intelligent lighting controllers, the depletion of fossil energy sources is reduced.
Green electricity The Kap Europa uses only green electricity from regenerative sources from the company
Mainova AG. This also promotes the development of
renewable energy sources with a fixed price per kilowatt
hour.
Sound proofing Sound proofing and speech quality are
significantly above the average requirements.
Technical equipment Thanks to the recent acquisition
of energy-efficient devices as well as the development of
new resource-sparing solutions, we are a pioneer in the
provision of ecologically sound equipment.
Sustainable catering Accente Services uses primarily
fresh produce from regional suppliers as well as certified
organic produce. Importance is placed on the least possible use of disposable/non-returnable packaging and food
containing colours, preservatives or additives. Furthermore, most of the equipment is also resource friendly.
Cleaning The cleaning agents used adhere to all environmental protection aspects particularly with view to the
use of fault free and renewable raw materials and biodegradability.
Cultural components The incorporation of fine art in
the room design was one of the criteria for receiving the
DGNB certificate. The light installation “Crossover” by
Berlin artist Barbara Trautmann was selected by means
of a competition.
Location and networking Kap Europa promotes ecofriendly mobility: with easy access to public transport,
hotels within walking distance and onsite bicycle stands.

Das Kap Europa ragt mit seiner markanten
Spitze aus Stahlbeton 33 Meter in die Höhe.
Was nach außen für einen imposanten Auf­­­
tritt sorgt, verfügt im Inneren über ein intelligentes Konzept: 7.700 qm Veranstaltungsfläche verteilen sich auf 14 unterschiedliche
Tagungsräume, zusätzlich verfügen 4.200 qm
Foyer über reichlich Tageslicht.
Im Saal Horizont finden bis zu 1.000 Personen
Platz, im teilbaren Saal Meridian bis zu 600
Personen – mit einer Deckenhöhe von 8,40
und 7,30 Metern wirken beide Säle besonders
weiträumig und offen. Das Haus bietet Platz
für bis zu 2.400 Personen.
With its distinctive peak out of reinforced
concrete, the Kap Europa ascends 33 metres
into the sky. Whilst this creates an imposing
exterior, the interior offers an intelligent concept: 7,700 m² event space divided across 14
conference rooms as well as a 4,200 m² foyer
lit by plenty of natural daylight.
The Horizont Hall offers space for up to 1,000
people and the divisible Meridian Hall space
for 600 people and, with ceiling heights of
8.40 and 7.30 metres, both rooms give a great
sense of space and openness. The Kap Europa
can host 2.400 people in total.
