VORWORT PREFACE
Liebe Gäste,
schneller, höher, weiter –
die Welt bewegt sich in
rasantem Tempo. Uneingeschränkte Mobilität
und digitale Erreichbarkeit gelten als Zeichen
für Wohlstand und Fortschritt. Smartphones und
das Internet, aber auch Schnellzüge und billige
Flugtickets machen es möglich. Die zunehmende
Mobilität geht einher mit schnelleren und günstigeren Formen der Kommunikation und des Wissenstransfers. Güter, Kapital und Ideen werden in
immer höherem Maße grenzüberschreitend ausgetauscht, Entfernungen schrumpfen und Grenzen
werden durchlässiger. Aber gilt das generell?
Der Zugang zur digitalen Welt setzt einiges
voraus: eine funktionierende Stromversorgung,
bezahlbare Geräte und nicht zuletzt Medienkompetenz. Weiterhin leben vor allem in Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländern viele Menschen
abgeschnitten von Allwetterstraßen, plagen
sich mit Staus und Luftverschmutzung. Konflikte
oder Naturkatastrophen machen Menschen zu
Flüchtlingen. Andere machen sich freiwillig auf in
fremde Länder, um als gefragte Fachkräfte dort
zu arbeiten und zu leben. So bergen Mobilität,
Migration und der digitale Wandel ein großes
Potenzial für Entwicklung und dafür, dass die Welt
weiter zusammenwächst. Andererseits bedarf es
nachhaltiger Konzepte, damit Mobilität nicht zum
ökologischen und gesellschaftlichen Risiko wird.
Denn rund um den Globus wandern Menschen seit
jeher, doch noch nie waren sie durch moderne
Kommunikationstechnologien und eine gute Verkehrsinfrastruktur so eng miteinander verbunden.
Dear guests,
The world is moving at breakneck speed; always
faster, higher and further. Unlimited mobility and
digital availability are considered to be signs of
prosperity and progress. This is all made possible
by smartphones, the internet, high-speed trains
and cheap airline tickets. Increasing mobility goes
hand in hand with faster and cheaper forms of
communication and knowledge transfer. The international exchange of goods, capital and ideas is
growing, distances are shrinking and borders are
opening up. But is this true for ­everyone?
In order to access the digital world, you need a
functioning electricity supply, affordable devices
and, last but not least, knowledge of how to use
digital media. Many people, particularly those
living in developing countries and emerging economies, still lack access to all-weather roads and
face serious traffic problems and air pollution.
Conflict and natural disasters turn some into refugees. Others with professional expertise choose
to live and work in foreign countries where their
skills are in demand. As such, mobility, migration
and digital change offer great potential for development and for bringing the world even closer
together. At the same time, there is a need for
sustainable concepts to prevent mobility becoming an environmental and social risk. People have
always travelled the globe, but they have never
been so closely connected by modern communications technology and sophisticated transport
networks as they are today.

Die Zukunft ist mobil: Immer mehr Menschen
strömen von einem Land zum anderen. Schon
heute leben 232 Millionen Menschen außerhalb
ihrer Herkunftsländer, mehr als je zuvor. Wir
verzeichnen eine rasant steigende Bevölkerungsentwicklung. Damit steigen die Anforderungen
an Verkehr und Logistik. Die Informations- und
Kommunikationstechnik hat weltweit ein neues
digitales Zeitalter eingeleitet. Sie verändert unser
Leben und unsere Arbeit und das Zusammenspiel
von Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft.
The future is mobile, and growing numbers of
people are now moving between different countries. Today, 232 million people live outside their
native country, which is more than ever before.
Population levels are climbing rapidly, increasing
the pressure on transport and infrastructure. And
around the world, information and communications technology is changing the way we live
and work and transforming interactions between
society, the private sector and the academic and
research community.
Wie beeinflussen digitale Innovationen den internationalen Wissensaustausch und die Wissensvermittlung? Wie wird Migration für den Einzelnen, das Herkunfts- und das Zielland zur Chance
und nicht zum Problem? Welche Rolle spielt
Migration in Zeiten des Fachkräftemangels für
Deutschland? Wie wird eine zunehmende Mobilität
weltweit zum Motor für Entwicklung und nicht
zum ökologischen Risiko?
How are digital innovations influencing international knowledge exchange and sharing? How can
we make sure that migration is an opportunity
and not a problem for migrants, their countries
of origin and their host countries? What role does
migration play at a time when Germany is facing
a shortage of skilled labour? How can we ensure
that greater mobility will help drive development
around the globe and not become an ecological
risk?
Zum Auftakt der Eschborner Fachtage stehen die
politischen, sozialen und ökonomischen Chancen
und Risiken als Folge von zunehmender Mobilität
und Migration sowie der rasanten Entwicklung von
Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien
im Mittelpunkt. Staat, Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft
und Wissenschaft stehen vor grenzüberschreitenden Herausforderungen, die neue vernetzte Lösungen erfordern.

The opening session of this year’s Eschborn
Dialogue focuses on the political, social and economic opportunities and risks resulting from increasing mobility and migration, and on the rapid

Viele Industrie- und Schwellenländer sind mit
einem Fachkräfteengpass konfrontiert. In
Deutschland werden Pflegekräfte gesucht, in
anderen Ländern, wie zum Beispiel Serbien,
Bosnien-Herzegowina oder den Philippinen, finden
dagegen nur wenige eine Arbeit. Auch andere
Kräfte sind betroffen: junge tunesische Ingenieure
beispielsweise. Sie haben auf dem Arbeitsmarkt
in ihrer Heimat kaum Perspektiven, in vielen
­anderen Ländern sind sie dagegen gefragt. Der
internationale Wettbewerb um Fachkräfte nimmt
zu und Deutschland muss sich behaupten.
Many industrialised countries and emerging
economies are facing a shortage of skilled personnel. Germany, for example, needs more nurses;
in countries like Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and
the Philippines, however, people have difficulty
finding work. Other sectors and countries are
also affected. Young Tunisian engineers, to take
one example, have poor prospects on the labour
market in their own country, while elsewhere
their skills are highly sought after. International
competition for skilled workers is increasing and
Germany must be able to hold its own.
Faire Rekrutierungs- und Arbeitsbedingungen,
eine ausgeprägte Willkommenskultur, vielfältige
Integrationsangebote und eine Anwerbung unter
Berücksichtigung der Interessen der Herkunftsländer sind Kriterien für eine nachhaltige Fachkräftesicherung. Dies setzt eine partnerschaftliche Zusammenarbeit zwischen Herkunfts- und
Aufnahmeländern sowie eine Verbindung von
arbeitsmarkt- und entwicklungspolitischen Interessen voraus. So wird Migration zur Chance und
es entsteht ein „Triple Win“: Migranten, Entsendeländer und Aufnahmeländer profitieren.
In order to ensure the long-term availability of
skilled personnel, it is essential to guarantee
fair recruitment and working conditions, make
migrants feel welcome, provide a range of integration services, and ensure that the recruitment
process takes the interests of the countries of
origin into account. This presupposes a partnership between the countries of origin and the host
countries, and a connection between job market
and development interests. In this way, migration
can be an opportunity and bring about a ‘triple
win’ situation that benefits the migrants, their
home countries and the host countries.

Die Anforderungen an den globalen Handel sind
hoch, denn Menschen, Waren, Kapital, Dienstleistungen und Ideen sind mobil wie nie zuvor. Daraus
erwachsen Chancen, aber auch Risiken. Der Anteil
der Entwicklungsländer am Welthandel liegt
bislang erst knapp über einem Drittel. Ihre Integration in den Welthandel schafft Wachstum
und trägt zur Armutsreduzierung bei. Doch dies
ist kein Automatismus. Eine der derzeit drängendsten Aufgaben ist es, Wirtschaftswachstum,
Gemeinwohl und Umweltschutz gleichermaßen zu
berücksichtigen. Dies schließt Themen wie Ernährungssicherung und Wertschöpfung vor Ort bei der
Gestaltung von Handelspolitik ein. Ebenso stellt
die Einhaltung international anerkannter menschenrechtlicher, ökologischer und sozialer Mindeststandards eine große Herausforderung dar.
People, goods, capital, services and ideas are
more mobile than ever before, which is placing
high demands on global trade. This presents both
opportunities and risks. Developing countries
currently only account for just over a third of
global trade. Integration into the world economy
stimulates growth and contributes to poverty
reduction. However, this is not an automatic process. One of the most pressing issues is ensuring
that economic growth, the common good and
environmental protection are taken into account
in equal measure. This entails looking at factors
like food security and local added value when
drafting trade policy. Another big challenge is
adhering to internationally recognised minimum
standards for human rights and environmental
and social aspects.
Klare und verbindliche Spielregeln sind für den
globalen Handel daher wichtiger denn je. Unnötige
Barrieren und Gesetze reduzieren Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten, gleichzeitig hat eine grenzenlose
Mobilität unerwünschte Effekte. Das Aushandeln
der verschiedenen Interessen ist daher notwendig.
Having clear and binding ground rules for global
trade is now more important than ever before.
Unnecessary barriers and laws reduce development opportunities; but unlimited mobility also
has unwanted effects. Negotiating the different
interests is therefore vital.
Inwieweit können nationale, europäische und
globale Institutionen angemessen auf diese Herausforderungen reagieren? Welche Möglichkeiten
bietet das Welthandelssystem für die Entwicklungsförderung? Und welche neuen Wege und
Regeln müssen gefunden werden?
To what extent can national, European and
global institutions react appropriately to these

Folgen. Die Beziehungen zwischen Staat und
Bürgern, zwischen Unternehmen und Verbrauchern
verändern sich, Machtverhältnisse verschieben
und Organisationsformen wandeln sich. Transparenz und Partizipation werden heute mehr denn je
von der Zivilgesellschaft eingefordert. Politik und
Verwaltung müssen darauf adäquate Antworten
finden. Gute Regierungsführung ist ohne digitale
Technologien nicht mehr denkbar.
The global digitalisation of society, politics and
business has far-reaching consequences. The
relationship between the state and its citizens,
and between companies and consumers, is
changing; power relations are shifting and different forms of organisation are developing. Today,
civil society is calling for transparency and
participation more than ever before. Politicians
and administrations must find an adequate
response to this. Good governance without digital
technologies is no longer conceivable.

Kommunikationstechnik und Medien als Chance
für eine offene Verwaltung und mehr Effizienz,
Beteiligung, Transparenz und bessere staatliche
Rechenschaftslegung. Auch Regierungen und

Spionage. Zudem ist der Zugang zur digitalen
Welt keine Selbstverständlichkeit.
Many see the use of information and communications technology and media as an opportunity
to achieve open administration, more efficiency,
participation and transparency, and to improve
the accountability of the state. Governments and
administrations are also using digital technology
to make their processes more efficient. Others
are concerned about surveillance, data theft and
espionage. In addition, access to the digital world
is not something that we can take for granted.

Mobilität prägt weltweit das tägliche Leben:
Immer mehr Städte ersticken im wachsenden
Straßenverkehr, besonders in Entwicklungs- und
Schwellenländern. Luftverschmutzung und Unfälle
gefährden die Einwohner, Stillstand beschränkt
die wirtschaftliche Wettbewerbsfähigkeit ganzer
Metropolen. Gleichzeitig gilt uneingeschränkte
Mobilität als Zeichen für Wohlstand und
Fortschritt.
Mobility shapes daily life around the world. More
and more cities are struggling to come to terms
with increasing volumes of traffic, particularly
in developing countries and emerging economies.
Air pollution and accidents are endangering
residents, and gridlock is reducing the economic
competitiveness of entire metropolitan areas.
At the same time, unlimited mobility is seen as
a sign of prosperity and progress.
Die Nachfrage nach Mobilitätslösungen im
Bereich Logistik ist in den letzten Jahren enorm
gestiegen. Auch für die rasch wachsenden Städte
sind nachhaltige Konzepte gefragt, denn Verkehr
ist eine wesentliche Quelle von Emissionen und
einer der zentralen Verbraucher fossiler Energie.
Ebenso gefragt ist, dass Mobilität bezahlbar und
die langfristige Finanzierbarkeit von Verkehrssystemen gesichert ist. Als führendes Mobilitätsland
unterstützt Deutschland mit einer neuen Initiative
für nachhaltige Mobilität Partner in Entwicklungsund Schwellenländern auf dem Weg, Verkehrssysteme nachhaltiger zu gestalten. Der Wissensund Technologietransfer spielt dabei eine entscheidende Rolle.
The demand for mobility solutions in the field of
logistics has risen considerably in recent years.
As traffic is a major source of emissions and also
plays a significant role in fossil fuel consumption, the focus must be on sustainable concepts,
even for rapidly growing cities. It is also important that mobility is affordable and that financing
can be guaranteed for transport systems in the
long term. Germany is one of the leading countries when it comes to mobility solutions and has
therefore launched the German Partnership for
Sustainable Mobility. This is a new initiative to
help partners in developing countries and emerging economies design more sustainable transport
systems. Knowledge and technology transfer play
a key role here.

Durch die Globalisierung und die zunehmende
Mobilität verändert sich die Bedeutung von
Grenzen und Grenzsicherung. Konflikte, Drogen-,
Waffen- und Menschenhandel machen nicht
halt vor staatlichen Grenzen. Eine grenzüberschreitende Flüchtlingsproblematik überfordert
viele Nationalstaaten, kann Krisen auslösen
und ganze Regionen destabilisieren. Sicherheit,
humanitäre Aspekte und wirtschaftliche Interessen stehen hier in engem Zusammenhang. Für
eine nachhaltige Bekämpfung von organisierter
Kriminalität, insbesondere die Eindämmung von
Menschenhandel und Schleuserbanden, und zur
Stabilisierung von Regionen ist ein integriertes,
regionales Grenzmanagement unabdingbar. Indem
friedens- und sicherheitspolitische, außen- sowie
wirtschaftspolitische Aspekte i­neinandergreifen,
können Lösungen für die Schattenseiten von Mobilität und Migration gefunden werden. Um Krisen
vorzubeugen und Entwicklung langfristig zu
fördern, müssen Behörden grenzüberschreitend
kooperieren.
As a result of globalisation and increasing mobility, the role of borders and border security is
changing. Conflicts, the arms trade and drug and
human trafficking do not simply stop at state
borders. Many countries are struggling to cope
with cross-border refugee problems, which can
also spark crises and destabilise entire regions.
Security, humanitarian issues and economic
interests are all closely connected. In order to
sustainably tackle organised crime, especially
human trafficking and smuggling rings, and to
stabilise regions, integrated, regional border
management is essential. As peace and security
issues and foreign and economic policy are
interlinked, it should be possible to find ways
of mitigating the negative side-effects of mobility
and migration. If authorities want to prevent
crises and promote development in the long
term, they must work together on a cross-border
basis.

In Zeiten des digitalen Wandels sind Informationen immer leichter zugänglich und werden grenzüberschreitend geteilt. Die Entwicklung zu einer
globalen Wissensgesellschaft ist in vollem Gange.
Onlinekurse erlauben es vielen, sich unabhängig
von sozialem Status, Ort und Bildungsabschluss
weiterzubilden. Mit dem freien Zugang zu Informationen können globale Wissensnetzwerke gefördert werden. Digitale Lern- und Austauschformate
tragen neben stärker gleichberechtigtem und
häufig kostenlosem Zugang zu Wissen auch zur
grenzüberschreitenden Vernetzung bei.
In this age of digital change, it is getting easier
and easier to access information, which is shared
far and wide. The development of a global knowledge society is in full swing. Thanks to online
courses, many people are now able to improve
their level of education regardless of their social
status, where they live or what qualifications
they have. This unrestricted access to information
can promote global knowledge networks. Digital
formats for learning and exchange are contributing to more equal and, in many cases, free
access to knowledge as well as cross-border
networking.
Angesichts der zunehmenden Masse von Informationen werden Moderatoren, die Wissen filtern und
beispielsweise zwischen Wissenschaft und Politik
vermitteln, immer bedeutender. Die Moderation
und Vernetzung von Wissen ist insbesondere bei

As the sheer volume of information continues
to increase, those who filter knowledge and
act as intermediaries, for example between the
academic community and political actors, are
becoming more and more important. Knowledge
brokering and networking yields results – particularly when it comes to supraregional problems. It is hard to imagine trying to find an interdisciplinary solution to the key social issues of
the future without global knowledge networks.

Die Abwanderung vom Land in die Stadt spielt
neben der internationalen Migration eine wichtige
Rolle: 740 Millionen Menschen sind laut Vereinten
Nationen Binnenmigranten. Das Ungleichgewicht
zwischen urbanen und ländlichen Regionen nimmt
zu. Schätzungen sagen voraus, dass im Jahr 2030
mehr Menschen in Städten leben werden als je
zuvor und die Bevölkerung auf dem Land erstmals
rückläufig sein wird. Ländliche Regionen werden
daher meist als „Migrationsverlierer“ betrachtet,
während Städte als „Migrationsgewinner“ gelten.
Dabei stoßen urbane Zentren und ihre Infrastruktur schon jetzt an Versorgungsgrenzen.
Alongside international migration, the movement
of people from rural areas to urban centres also
plays an important role – according to the United
Nations, there are 740 million internal migrants
worldwide. There is a growing imbalance between
urban and rural regions. Experts estimate that,
by 2030, more people will be living in cities than
ever before and that the rural population will
be in decline for the first time ever. For the most
part, rural areas will be seen as ‘migration losers’, while the cities will be ‘migration winners’.
However, urban centres and their infrastructure
are already reaching the limit of what they can
provide.

failures force some people to leave their homes.
Others travel to cities in search of work and better prospects so that they can feed the families
they leave behind.

Digitale Innovationen bedeuten zweierlei: mehr
Freiheit, aber auch mehr Beschränkungen. Über
soziale Netzwerke organisieren sich Gruppen mit
ihrem politischen Willen oft schneller, als dies
traditionelle Institutionen vermögen. Mehr Menschen erhalten Zugang zu Informationen, die ihnen
einen höheren Grad demokratischer Partizipation
ermöglichen. Es entstehen neue Formen der politischen Beteiligung und die Zivilgesellschaft kann
gestärkt werden. Auf der anderen Seite besteht
die Gefahr der stärkeren Überwachung, der Kontrolle und der gezielten Manipulation der neuen
Medien. Erfahrungen aus unterschiedlichen Regionen der Welt zeigen, dass die Auswirkungen der
Digitalisierung auf die Demokratie vielfältig sind.
Die politischen Stiftungen engagieren sich in ihrer
Auslandsarbeit für Werte, die durch Digitalisierung gefördert werden sollen: politische Mitbestimmung, Zugang zu Informationen, Transparenz
und bessere Chancen auf wirtschaftliche Teilhabe.
Digital innovation means two things – more
­freedom, but also more restrictions. Using social
networks, politically motivated groups can often
organise themselves faster than traditional
institutions. More people can access information,
which opens up the possibility of greater democratic participation. New forms of political participation are created and this strengthens civil
society. On the flip side, there is a danger of
increased surveillance and control, and the deliberate manipulation of new media. Experiences
from different regions across the world show
that the impact of digitalisation on democracy
can vary widely. In their work abroad, political
foundations promote the values that should be
supported by digitalisation, i. e. political participation, access to information, transparency and
better opportunities for economic participation.
Wie können die Bürger neue Medien nutzen, um
sich in politische Entscheidungen stärker einzubringen und von der Regierung mehr Rechenschaft
einzufordern? Welche Möglichkeiten gibt es für
Parteien, um durch neue Medien für politisches
Engagement zu werben? Wo wird die Nutzung

The migration megatrend – seizing
opportunities, shaping development
Migration ist ein globaler Trend: Im Jahr 2013
lebten 232 Millionen Menschen außerhalb ihres
Geburtslandes, die Tendenz ist steigend. Viele Menschen suchen bewusst neue Arbeits- und Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten, andere sind dazu gezwungen,
ihre Heimat wegen Naturkatastrophen, Konflikten
oder aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen zu verlassen.
Migration is a global trend. In 2013, 232 million
people lived outside their native country, and
this figure is set to rise. Many are looking for
new job or development opportunities; others are
forced to leave their homes because of natural
disasters, conflicts or economic factors.
Dem Risiko des Braindrains, des Wissensverlusts
durch Abwanderung von Fachkräften, stehen die
Chancen von Migration gegenüber. Denn viele
Einwanderer geben bei einer Rückkehr ihr im
Ausland erworbenes Wissen weiter, sie g­ ründen
Unternehmen und etablieren internationale
Geschäftsbeziehungen. Durch Geld, das sie an
ihre Familien schicken, profitiert ein sehr großer
Anteil der Weltbevölkerung von Migration. Diese
Geldtransfers bleiben im Gegensatz zu ausländischen Direktinvestitionen auch in Krisenzeiten
stabil und sind oftmals sogar die schnellste Art
der Hilfe. Voraussetzung für die positiven Effekte
von Migration ist, dass Migranten und Flüchtlinge
rechtlich abgesichert sind und am beruflichen
und gesellschaftlichen Leben im Aufnahmeland
teilhaben können.
Welche Rolle spielen Migranten bei der Verringerung von Armut? Wie können die Potenziale
von Migration genutzt und die Risiken verringert
werden? Wie muss eine kohärente europäische
Migrations- und Flüchtlingspolitik im Sinne einer
globalen Zukunftssicherung gestaltet werden?
Inwiefern fließt das Thema Migration in die Nachfolge der Millenniumsentwicklungsziele, die
Post-2015-Agenda, ein?

The positive side of migration balances out the
risk of brain drain: when they return home, many
migrants pass on the knowledge they gained
abroad, set up companies or establish international business connections. Through the money
migrants send back to their families, a large
percentage of the world population benefits from
migration. In contrast to foreign direct investment, these money transfers remain stable, even
in times of crisis, and are often the fastest form
of support. The key to making migration positive
is ensuring that migrants and refugees have legal
security and are able to participate in working
life and society in their host country.
What role do migrants play in reducing poverty?
How can the potential of migrants be optimised
and risks minimised? What should be the key
features of a coherent European migration and
refugee policy that secures the world’s future?
To what extent is migration playing a role in the
post-2015 agenda, the successor to the Millennium Development Goals?

Migration, digitaler Wandel
World in motion: mobility, migration,
digital change
Von der Pferdekutsche zum Flugzeug, von der
Brieftaube zum Internet, von der Manufaktur
zur Industrie 4.0 – wir leben in einer Welt der
Beschleunigung. Politische Umbrüche zeigen das
Potenzial für Veränderung und Partizipation durch
digitale Medien. Auf der anderen Seite birgt der
digitale Wandel Gefahren: staatliche Überwachung und Datenmissbrauch. Der digitale Wandel
geht einher mit zunehmender internationaler
Verflechtung der Arbeits- und Lebenswelten. Rund
um den Globus wandern Menschen von Land zu
Land auf der Flucht vor Kriegen, Konflikten und
auf der Suche nach einem besseren Leben. Politik,
Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft sind
gefordert, nachhaltige Lösungen zu finden.
From horse-drawn carriages to aeroplanes, from
carrier pigeons to the internet, from manufacturing to Industry 4.0 – our world is accelerating.
Political upheavals have shown us the potential
for digital media to stimulate change and enable
participation. On the flip side, digital change
is not without its dangers, such as state surveillance and the misuse of data. And across the
globe digital change is also accompanied by
a greater integration of our working and home
­environments. Migration between countries is
also on the rise, with people around the world
fleeing war and conflict or simply searching for
a better life. Political actors, the private sector,
the academic and research community and society need to find sustainable solutions.
Welche politischen, gesellschaftlichen und
wirtschaftlichen Veränderungen werden durch
moderne Kommunikation und technische Errungenschaften möglich? Was bedeutet das für
die internationale Zusammenarbeit? Wie ­können
viele Menschen die Möglichkeiten digitaler
Technologien, Medien und des Internets nutzen?
Wie entsteht durch Migration ein „Triple Win“,
sodass einzelne Menschen, die Aufnahme- und
die ­Herkunftsländer profitieren? Beim Abschluss
der Eschborner Fachtage stehen die Chancen

BUS-TRANSFER SHUTTLE BUS
Die Abendveranstaltung findet im Güterbahnhof
Bad Homburg, Horexstraße 1, 61352 Bad Homburg
statt. Um 18.30 Uhr wird ein Bus-Transfer von der
GIZ direkt zum Veranstaltungsort angeboten. Um
21.00, 22.00 und 22.30 Uhr stehen Busse bereit,
die Sie zu den Mercure Hotels und zur GIZ zurückbringen. Der Veranstaltungsort befindet sich
in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bad Homburger Bahnhof. Von dort fährt die S-Bahn S5 direkt in die
Frankfurter Innenstadt.
The evening event will take place at Güterbahnhof (freight depot) Bad Homburg, Horexstraße 1, 61352 Bad Homburg. A shuttle bus
from GIZ to the venue will be available at 18.30.
Buses will be waiting to take you back to the
Mercure Hotels and GIZ at 21.00, 22.00 and 22.30.
The venue is next to Bad Homburg station, where
you can catch the S5 train straight to Frankfurt
city centre.
Für die Gäste der Mercure Hotels Eschborn Ost
und Eschborn Helfmann-Park ist ein Shuttlebus
zur GIZ eingerichtet. Die Busse fahren am 17. Juni
um 9.00 Uhr und 9.30 Uhr und am 18. Juni um
8.00 Uhr und 8.30 Uhr am gemeinsamen Treffpunkt
der beiden Mercure Hotels ab. Die Fahrtzeit zur
GIZ beträgt etwa 15 Minuten.
There is a shuttle bus service to GIZ for guests
staying at the Mercure Hotels Eschborn Ost and
Eschborn Helfmann-Park. Buses will depart from
the meeting point for the two Mercure Hotels at
9.00 and 9.30 on 17 June and at 8.00 and 8.30 on
18 June. The journey to GIZ takes approximately
15 minutes.
