Final Settlement Prices Financial Power Futures February 2016
Leipzig, 23/02/2016 – The final settlement prices for Financial Power Futures are determined
on the EPEX Spot SE Day-Ahead spot market after the last auction of the respective delivery
period. Due to the seven days trading, situations can arise in which the auction for the last delivery day of the period takes place on a Saturday or a Sunday. As a result of this, either the
expiry dates of the contracts concerned have to be adjusted in the EUREX system (scenario A)
or, if required, a manual balancing entry (scenario B) has to be carried out (see EEX Customer
Information from 15 January 2014) .
In February 2016 scenario A will materialize: If the last delivery day is on Monday (and if this
day is not an EEX holiday), the expiry dates and the expiry time of the Futures concerned are
adjusted within the EUREX system. Thus, the expiry date of delivery month February 2016 will
be on 29 February 2016 (expiry time 08:01 CET).

settlement prices by a Market Data Circular as soon as these are available.

Schlussabrechnungspreise Financial Power Futures Februar 2016
Leipzig, 23.02.2016 – Die Schlussabrechnungspreise für die Financial Power Futures werden
nach der letzten Auktion der jeweiligen Lieferperiode am Day-Ahead-Spotmarkt der EPEX
SPOT SE festgelegt. Aufgrund des 7-Tage-Handels kann die Situation eintreten, dass die Auktion für den letzten Liefertag der Lieferperiode an einem Samstag bzw. Sonntag erfolgt. Infolge
dessen müssen entweder die Verfallstage der betroffenen Kontrakte im EUREX-System angepasst (Szenario A) oder ggf. eine manuelle Ausgleichsbuchung (Szenario B) durchgeführt werden (siehe EEX Kundenmitteilung vom 15. Januar 2014).
Im Februar 2016 wird das Szenario A eintreten: Fällt der letzte Liefertag auf einen Montag (und
ist dieser kein EEX-Feiertag), werden die Verfallstage und der Verfallszeitpunkt der betroffenen
Futures im EUREX-System angepasst. Demnach ist der Verfallstag für den Liefermonat Februar 2016 am 29. Februar 2016 (Verfallszeit: 08:01 MEZ).
