Today, you cease to be a student of law and
become a member of the legal profession, an old
and noble profession steeped in tradition and
ideals. Remember, however, that you are part of a
changing and evolving profession as well. While
we cherish our traditions we must adapt to an everchanging world.
Aujourd'hui, vous cessez d'etre etudiant ou etudiante
du barreau pour devenir membre de la profession
d'avocat. une ancienne et noble profession riche de
traditions et d'idcaux. Yous devez toutefois vous
souvenir que YOUS faites egalement partie d'une
profession qui change et qui evolue. Tout en
demeurant attaches a nos traditions, nous devons nous
adapter a un monde en Constante evolution.

As you embark upon your professional journey, I
urge you to remember what you have learned and
to uphold the principles and values, which form the
foundation of your profession. I encourage you to
continue to learn so that you may develop and
evolve with your profession. I ask you to share
your experience and knowledge with those who
follow you, so that your profession may continue to
grow and thrive. And finally, I ask you to consider
helping those less fortunate than you through
public service so that your professional knowledge
may be accessible to all.

and wish you success for tomorrow.
