Assemble the Harrow Sections
The sections come in three different widths, 4’, 6’ and 8’. Determine which section your
harrow requires and follow the assembly instructions below. Refer to figure below.
1. Assembly of 4’ sections. Place one left sidebar runner and one right sidebar runner on the
ground about 4 feet apart. Insert a ½” x 2” bolt through the retainer washer and through
the tooth bar. Place a bushing on the bolt and insert the bolt through the runner and fasten
with a lock washer and hex nut. Repeat this for the other five bolts.
2. Assembly of 6’ and 8’ sections is the same as the 4’ sections with the following changes.
Use two right hand sidebar runners and one left hand per section. To attach the center
runner, use three ½” x 3” bolts, with a washer on the outside of each tooth bar.
3. Attach the spring teeth. Refer to page 4 for proper tooth spacing. Measurements shown
are from the inside of the end plate for the tooth bar. Teeth should measure 12” on centers.
Teeth are mounted to the bars with a tooth mount clip. Hook clip over tooth bar and insert
tooth through slot. Secure with a ½” x 3-1/2” bolt, lock washer and lock nut.
4. Attach lever assemblies to sections. They should be mounted approximately in the center
of the sections, with the handle to the rear. Attach them with six ½” x 3 1/2” bolts, lock
washers and hex nuts per assembly.
