Conclusion: Isaiah 43: 6&7
Genesis 1:24 -2:3
24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to
their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild
animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the
wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their
kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to
their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let
us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the
fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the
earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created
him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said
to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue
it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every
living creature that moves on the ground." 29 Then God said, "I give
you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every
tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And
to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the
creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of
life in it--I give every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 God
saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was
evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast
array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been
doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 And God
blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from
all the work of creating that he had done.

MINUTE FOR MISSION – Alexis Angelucci is preparing to begin
another very exciting chapter in her life. In January she will be
moving to New Zealand where she will be living for
2 years as a missionary with Youth With a Mission
(YWAM). While in New Zealand she will be training
groups of young adults to go out into the nations and
share the gospel with people who may have never heard it before. She
may also accompany some of these groups on their trips. Please be
praying for Alexis as she prepares for this exciting adventure and
seeks both spiritual and financial support for her ministry.
“THE SPY GAME” –Saturday, October 18th – 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.All youth (6th to 12th grade) are invited to join us in Fellowship Hall
(lower level) for a night of food, fun, and prizes. It's a
battle of wits and cunning between a network of mysterious
spies and shadowy double agents. If you have any
questions see Kevin Sheahan or a Youth Leader.
HUNGER WALK –October 19, 2014 – 1:00 p.m. – This year’s Hunger
Walk will take place on Sunday afternoon, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. at
the Gap Park walking trail. For 2014, 90% of the funds will go
towards the Power Pak Program, a local food and
hygiene program for school children in the Pequea
Valley School district and the remaining 10% will go
to Samaritan’s Purse hunger needs. Sponsor forms
can be picked up on the bulletin table in Friendship
Hall (next to the soup cans)! We are also asking you to bring cans of
Progresso soup for donation, both Chicken Noodle and Vegetable
Beef. We will collect the soup until next Sunday, October 19th.
SPACEBA (THANK YOU) –Thank you to everyone who helped us
welcome and host our Russian brothers and sisters during their ten day
visit with us. Special thanks to those who provided
lodging (Peggy Stauffer and Jeff & Cindy Hogg)
and to those who welcomed them into their homes
for a meal and time of fellowship. The Bible clearly
teaches us that Christ’s Church is universal,
consisting of believers in every nation and tongue, but to live that out
within such a real and practical way is a wonderful gift from God.
Slava Bogu!! (Praise God)
JOURNEY TO THE POTTER’S HOUSE – Sunday evening,
October 26, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m. we will welcome Michael
Ferris to the Bellevue Sanctuary and he will present “A Journey to the
Potter’s House.” From others who have attended this
service we read, “This is a powerful, illustrated sermon that
brings you face to face with God in a way that will forever
change the way you understand His working in your life.
Adults as well as children were captivated by Michael’s
relational style and incredible insight into Scripture.” Childcare will
be provided. A free-will offering will also be received that evening to
help cover traveling costs. This is a 90 minute presentation (broken
into 2 - 45 minute segments).
2014 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN – “The Solid Rock; The
Foundation of our Faith” Ephesians 2:20 – The Fall Stewardship
Campaign will begin on Sunday, October 26th and run
through November 16th. The theme of this year’s campaign
is “The Solid Rock; The Foundation of our Faith.” The
stewardship packets will be placed in your church mailbox
on Sunday, October 19th (those not picked up will be mailed the
following day). Your packet will contain the 2015 budget, some
informative stewardship material and your 2015 pledge card.
HELP CHRISTIANS IN IRAQ – The news reports of the terror and
brutality being inflicted on Christians are being confirmed
by missionaries in the region. Our brothers and sisters in
Iraq need our prayers and support. The EPC is working
with Christian Aid Mission to provide food, clothing, medical
assistance and shelter to refugees. If you wish to contribute to this
relief effort, please make your check payable to Bellevue Presbyterian
Church. The funds will be collected and sent by the church to EPC.
MONEY SAVERS FOR TURKEYS – Once again the Board of
Deacons is collecting Dutchway Money Savers through early
November.
We will take these money savers and use them to
“purchase” turkeys from Dutchway for the Water Street Rescue
Mission's annual Thanksgiving dinner. If you have some of these
money savers and do not need them, please place them in the box on
the bulletin table in Friendship Hall.
