Oct. 16 Oct. 22 Oct. 31 WINTER SPORTS SIGN-UP will be during Homeroom in the following locations: Gymnastics-Sands; Wrestling-Rm. 204; Girls Basketball-Raider Hall; Boys Basketball-Rm. 217; Girls Hockey-M Room; Boys Hockey-M Room; Boy/Girls Curling-Faculty Dining Room; Boys Swim-Pool. There will be an Informational Water Ballet meeting today after school at 3:15 in the cafeteria with Mrs. Venzke. The Library will be open all day Tuesday and Wednesday, October 14 and 15. No school on Thursday for students, therefore the library will close at 3:45 on Wednesday. Library hours on Thursday will be 1pm to 8pm. DRIVER ED CLASSROOM on Wed. morning-will be having class in Room 104. FBLA/DECA members are invited to the meeting on Wednesday during homeroom time in Room 215. We will discuss competitive events and the Rail Trail Cleanup on Wednesday, October 15. Details about Cleanup: We will leave from MASH at 3:30 on Wednesday. Dress for the weather; ride to trail provided and ice cream afterward at McDonalds. Parents may pick you up at McDonalds at 5 p.m. Science Olympiad: Practice will be held tomorrow from 6-8 p.m. See Mr. Paff some time this week for schedules and other information. The library will be closed 6th hour on Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 15. FAN BUS to FB vs. Ashland game-Leaving @ 4:15 from door #8 behind high school. Mentorship Students: Your September site calendars need to be handed in by the end of the week or you will lose points off your journal sheet. Seniors: The representative from UW-Green Bay will be here 3rd hour, Wednesday, October 15th. If you would like to see him you MUST stop in the guidance office for a pass prior to the scheduled visit. Seniors: The representative from UW-Stout will be here 2nd hour, Tuesday, October 14th. If you would like to see her you MUST stop in the guidance office for a pass prior to the scheduled visit. ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES! Games after school? We can help you refuel! Sport Sacks are available for purchase to take with you-sign up sheet is available outside the kitchen foors the morning of the away trip and will be delivered to the locker room prior to departure for your game. Sacks include Sandwich choice of the month, Chips, Fresh Fruit, Cookie and Bottled Water. Price is $4.00 and will be deducted from your positive lunch account. Attendance Misc. for ALL students: **Anytime a student leaves the campus, he/she must sign out in the central office and sign back in upon returning. **All absences for any reason require a note from parent or doctor-notes must be turned in to the central office within 2 days of return to school, or the absence will be considered a skip. **REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS: Backpacks, purses, bags, etc. are not allowed in classes unless exempt for medical reasons (must be cleared with Mrs. Lybert and Mrs. Koenig). Hats and coats are not to be worn in classes either-no exceptions. These rules have been set by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Dept., Medford Police Dept., and the District Administrator. **Whenever you are leaving school for any reason (illness, appointment, etc.) you MUST have a signed note from a parent, or an ok per phone call-any student coming in late or leaving during the day MUST stop in the front office and sign in/out-no exceptions. **SENIOR INFORMATION: Wendy's High School Heisman Award: Seniors who have at least a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport, are involved in their community and extracurricular activities. For more details and how to apply online: WendysHeisman.com Deadline: October 3, 2014 ATTENTION SENIORS: The Kohl Excellence Scholarship applications are now available in the Guidance Office. One hundred graduating seniors from across the State of Wisconsin will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Students will be evaluated on their leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement and academic achievement. If interested in applying for this award, you must stop in the guidance office for the application. MASH application deadline is: Monday, November 3rd. Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship: This scholarship is offered by the Elks National Foundation. To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must be a high school senior, and US citizen.
