The contents of this Circular Minute should be brought to the notice of all eligible officers and
employees on your establishment without delay. Also notify all candidates who qualify for the
post in this circular minute even if they are absent from their place of work.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
 An appropriate Bachelor Degree or National Diploma in Industrial / Behavioural / Counselling
/Psychology / Industrial Social Work
 Must have at least 1 -2 years’ experience in an Administrative or relevant field
 Proof of current and previous work experience endorsed and stamped by HR Department
 Registration Certificate with Relevant Council
 Proof of current registration with relevant Council
 Computer literacy would be an added advantage
RECOMMENDATION
 Unendorsed valid Code B driver’s licence (Code 08)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCY
 The Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act, Constitution of
RSA(Bills of Rights), Employee Assistant Program and HIV / AIDS Legislation
 Counseling skills
 Report writing, communication and presentation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES / KRA’S
 Conduct training for managers, supervisors and union representatives on their roles in EAP
 Present wellness programs per identified needs
 Conduct assessments to identify personal and/or work related problems of employees
 Provide short-term interventions and referring deserving clients to appropriate professionals
and other resources
 Monitor progress of treatment and taking necessary steps to provide follow-up services within
the limits of psychotherapeutic confidentiality
 Inform management on trends in anything that impacts negatively on staff morale which may

Facilitate implementation of programs on HIV and AIDS
