All successful candidates/applicants will be subject to driving competency assessment prior to appointment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Knowledge of health programmes i.e. STI, TB, HIV, AIDS, NUTRITION, MNWCH, ORAL Health, Health lifestyle, communicable and non‐communicable diseases. School Health Policy & Guideline. Health Promoting Schools and Sexuality Education. Relevant health programmes viz HAST, MCWH, Healthy lifestyle, Mental Health, Nutrition, Non‐ Communicable Diseases. Batho Pele Principles and legislation that guide practices. Good leadership & Communication Skills KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Utilize equipment proficiently and promote its use and safekeeping. To maintain client satisfaction through upholding the principles of Batho‐Pele. To plan and participate in school health community mobilization campaigns To provide sexuality/health education to learners about issues of HIV and AIDS, Reproductive Health, Nutrition, Personal Hygiene, Youth Risk Behaviors. To co‐support the school community & stakeholders in creating health promotion schools. To network with relevant stakeholders & sustain partnership in school health service delivery. Health assessment, screening & examination to exclude diseases in children. Identify barriers to learning. Prompt referral for further management. Provide reproductive & sexuality education. Counselling parents, learners & advising teachers. Capacity building of co‐workers & stakeholders. To provide preventive and promotive services that address the health needs of school going children. To facilitate referral to health and other services where required. To support, involve & ensure sustainable coordinating for the school community & multi‐sectorial team in creating health promoting schools To monitor & evaluate the school health service rendered i.e. collecting & validating schools health data & reporting accordingly. To mobilize resources & conduct capacity building for the implementation of the school health policy.
