Do you need a wheelchair, walker, shower chair or other piece of medical equipment short term? Do you have medical equipment you are no longer using and would like to share with others who need it? The Milaca American Legion has a medical equipment loan program that is open to the community. They have a wide variety of equipment that is available to be used short term and accept donations of medical equipment as well. Please contact Mary Ann at 983-3898 to inquire about donating or borrowing medical equipment. Some pre-made boxes are available as well. We will start our church shoebox collection on November 2, continuing through November 16. The National Collection Week is November 17 - 24. Our church is a designated drop-off location (Relay Collection Center). A few volunteers are needed to help on these dates; please check out the volunteer sign-up sheet available there. More visitors are always welcome to join the team, please contact Alison if you are interested in being part of this ministry. THE MONTH OF OCTOBER is Pastor Appreciation Month. The Overseer Board would like to invite the congregation to participate in personally thanking our pastors with a thank you note, card or gift to our pastors during the month. Take the time to express your love and appreciation for the leadership and care they provide for Milaca Evangelical Free Church. OTHER OPPORTUNITIES THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE is now meeting to fill positions for 2015. If you would like to nominate someone for either Overseer or Nominating Committee member, forms are on the information table. Also on that table is a copy of MEFC Expectations of an Overseer. Please follow the directions on the nominating form and return to Paul Droogsma’s mailbox no later than Sunday, November 2nd. LADIES GAME NIGHT: sponsored by Women's Ministries Friday, October 24th, an evening of fellowship, food and fun, here at church, 6:30 p.m. Bring your favorite snack, game and a friend.
