Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please use MS Word
document in Times New Roman text format, font size 10,
single line spacing, and set tab to a five-character indent.
An abstract should be submitted via email to:
[email protected] by 10.00pm, 15th September 2014 in the following format only. Please note that
only structured abstracts will be considered in the following
format.
Title: The title should be in bold capitals (upper case), flush to the
left margin, limit 20 words
Authors: The authors‟ names should start with their initials, each
followed by a full stop before the surname (e.g. R.C. Pandey).
Presenting author should be first. Maximum 6 co-authors.

Italic Type -- Latin names should be set in italics.
Capitals – Use capitals for proper names, titles, geographical names, trade names.
Abbreviations- All abbreviations should be spelled out in full the first time they occur
in a typescript, followed by the abbreviation in brackets.
Units: All measurements must be in metric units, preferably with corresponding SI units
in parentheses.
Statistical values must be clearly expressed along with tests used in brackets. P values
should be mentioned to three decimals.
All selected abstracts of free paper and posters will be published in
Journal of Clinical Orthopedics and Trauma, official
journal of DOA as conference proceedings.

Dear colleagues,
Our capital city is known for its national
heritage and technological advances. Orthopedic treatment has also reached new heights with best in-house
patient care. This has become possible only due to our
frequent gathering and sharing of knowledge and experiences.
It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the
annual meet of Delhi orthopedic association
„DOACON 2014‟ to be held on 1st and 2nd of November 2014 in the Auditorium, Maulana Azad
Medical college, New Delhi.
During the two day conference a large
number of topics will be covered which are commonly
encountered in daily practice of an orthopedic surgeon. There will be four workshops with an emphasis
on Approach and Technique in a few technically demanding surgeries. Conference will be divided into
sessions of live surgeries along with panel discussions. Surgeons who want to present their paper will
be given ample opportunity to do so. Budding orthopedic surgeons will be getting a chance to interact
with experienced surgeons during lecture sessions and
to learn from their experiences.
The 1st day of conference will be concluded by a cultural evening where we can relax after
a tiresome day of learning.
