Matthew 5:
Stewardship Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” This is one of many Bible passages that remind us that we reap what we sow. Likewise, what God puts into us (His own love, mercy, kindness, and generosity) – flows back out of us. For it all starts with His self-giving! Do you have Thrivent Choice Dollars available? If you do, please direct them to Zion Auburn by calling 1-800-847-4836 and say “Thrivent Choice” You will need to know the last 4 digits of your social security number and your member number or the number of one of your Thrivent products. Grow One Weekend: We give thanks to God for the many faithful stewards in our congregation and for all who indicated a desire to continue to grow in the grace of giving through their commitment forms. November 1 & 2, 2014 Psalm 122:1 The mission of Zion Lutheran is to better know & show Christ’s love. Our Mission On All Saints Day we remember how those who have gone before us knew and showed Christ’s love. They helped us to better know Christ’s love by giving us a living, breathing example of faith in action. As we think of those who have reflected Christ’s perfect love to us, may we also seek to reflect that same love to others. Prayer Requests are always welcome. To have someone included in our prayers during worship please call the church office or write out the request and give it to a Pastor prior to the service. Valet Parking is available for those who need it. Let the Elder at the east door know. He will park your car for you, and bring it back after worship. Zion’s Web Site: www.zionbeaver.com The website contains the most recent church newsletter, and information about Zion’s ministries. Large Print Bulletins are available from an usher. These bulletins may also be helpful to our guests since they allow following the service without using a hymnal. Our focus today is on All Saints’ Day. Today the Christian Church remembers those believers who have gone before us. We give thanks to God for their lives of faith. They are alive with God forever. We also remember that we are living saints today. Through baptism and faith in Jesus, we are living saints who worship and serve the one true God.
