WRAP UP THE YEAR WITH LISTEN LIVE MUSIC!
This month, Listen Live Music, Inc., the all-volunteer run,
501(c)(3) non-profit music organization, presents two great
events. On December 12, it’s the ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC.
All levels and ages of musician (and listeners) are welcome.
Doors at 7pm, music at 7:30pm; $3 admission. The
following week, Saturday, December 19, it’s the incredible
TOBY LIGHTMAN live in concert! Toby’s music has
been featured on the big and small screens (90210, The
Fosters, Desperate Housewives, just to name three!), and
she’s making a rare appearance here in the Lehigh Valley
at the super intimate (not a bad seat in the house!) and
great sounding LLM! A favorite of Prince, David Letterman
and Conan, Toby will deliver a show you
won’t soon forget. Tickets are only $20 and
available at ListenLiveMusic.org. Both
events will be held at the Macungie Institute,
510 E Main St, Macungie. Plenty of free on
and off-street parking. t
Listen Live Music, your local 501(c)(3) nonprofit listening room, is excited to present three
fun events in June! The first is our monthly
ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC at the Macungie Institute,
510 E. Main St., Macungie, which features a great
night of local and often not-so-local entertainment
in our professionally-stocked venue! Come on
out and share a few tunes with fellow musicians
and listeners. All are welcome to this smoke and
alcohol free event on Sat., June 8. $3 admission,
doors and signups at 7, music at 7:30. Dollar
snacks available. On Sat., June 22, LLM is thrilled
to present its next installment in the BrINgINg
NAShvIllE NOrTh: WrITErS IN ThE rOUNd
series! Join artist-in-residence, Mike Holliday, at
the Macungie Institute as he performs with three
other singer/songwriters in the true Nashville
Bluebird “in the round in the middle of the room”
style! This edition will feature Josh Joffen, Terry
Kitchen and Peter Scapegrace. Tickets are only
$10 with fantastic plates available for munching.
This is a one-of-a-kind concert experience that
has been filling the room this season. Doors open
at 7:30 and the music starts at 8pm. There are
only 50 seats available for these shows - be sure
to get there early! Finally, on Sun., June 30, LLM
will host an Acoustic Open Mic from 12 noon 2pm at St. Joseph’s Summer Festival, 5050 St.
Joseph Rd. in Coopersburg! Join your friends
in the pavilion (indoors if it rains) for a fun time
with food, drink and games. After that, it’s Miss
Maggie Sings! Kids’ Show at 2pm, followed by
an afternoon of BlUEgrASS MUSIC with Mail
Pouch Express at 3pm and The Zepp Family
Band at 5:30 - all FREE! Great music and lots
