Q: Our home has aluminum window frames. I would like to
paint them. What type of paint should I use and what prep work
is needed?

George,
If it is bare aluminum, you will need to clean it good and use
an Acryl-Lok primer and then put 100% acrylic paint for a top
coat. I would recommend using an exterior paint, as it has a
UV protection.
If there is already a finish on the aluminum, you just have to
clean it and then you can apply a 100% acrylic paint.
The paint can be mixed to any color in our Beauti-Tone color
palette, or we can custom match to any color you would like.
