STUDY PROGRAMME IN BRIEF
This four-year part-time programme gives you an
in-depth awareness of how to manage or set up a
company in today’s global marketplace. In the
first year you will follow eight modules taught by
a dedicated team of lecturers. All classes are
taught in the evening.
Modules in the first year;
► Accounting
► English
► Human Resource Management
► Law
► Marketing
► Market Research
► Management & Organisation
On top of that you will be writing a self-reflection
report and creating a business plan.
Eight different modules make up the core of the
second year. Apart from taking these classes, your
group will write a thesis on the company of one
of your group members. In this year you will also
be working on a year-long project on
International Expansion.
In the third year you will conduct an internship in
the company where you are employed. Or you
study abroad for one semester at one of our
partner universities or take an elective minor. In
the final year you will undertake your final
modules in you will complete your studies by
writing a graduation paper for the company
where you are employed.
TITLE
Upon successfully completing the curriculum you
will be offered an internationally recognised
Bachelor of Business Administration diploma.
CAREER POSSIBILITIES
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
After the IBMS-PT programme you’ll be ready for
a wide range of entry-level jobs in international
businesses across the globe. The majority of
IBMS-PT alumni start out in Sales or Finance
positions, after which they move on to
management positions. You’ll be glad you
graduated at IBS.
It is more likely to successfully complete the
programme if;
► You have relevant working experience at
bachelor’s entrance level.
► You speak and write in English proficiently.
► You do business with internal or external clients
on a daily basis.
► You are able to work independently.
You may graduate from the four-year IBMS
programme and go straight to work. Or, you may
study for one or two years longer at a university of
your choice and attain your Master’s degree.
STUDY LOAD
42 weeks of educational activities per annum.
Classes are held on mostly two, and
occasionally three evenings per week.
► On average you are expected to spend 20
hours per week on your studies, this includes
classes, projects and preparation.
► In your first academic year at the International
Business School, you must obtain at least 50
out of the 60 available credits to gain
enrolment in the second year (BAS criterion).

TIME TABLE
Lessons take place from Tuesday until Thursday.
You will participate in classes two evenings per
week. You may want to use the third evening to
work on group assignments. Classes commence
daily at 18.45 hours and end at 22.00 hours.

members. Over the course of this meeting we
discuss the admission requirements, the
combination of work and study and whether your
work experience and / or company are suitable for
you to commence with the programme. We
welcome you to contact the programmes'
Coordinator or Study Advisor.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
If you are looking to start your studies in
September 2015 we recommend you submit your
request for enrolment no later than 1 May via
Studielink. Applying before 1 May ensures you
are able to go through the selection procedure.
Students with a Dutch diploma need to attend
our compulsory Study Check Day. Registration is
open until 1 August, please check our website for
details.

positions at national or international companies.

We require you to have completed a secondary
education at a level equivalent to the Dutch havo,
vwo or International Baccalaureate. Additional
requirements may be requested. The programme
is conducted in English: we expect you to speak
and write in English proficiently. If you are older
than 21 and don't meet the requirements you can
take a 21+ test.
