First, let me share my sincere thanks for the Christmas cards, gifts and acts of kindness shown to my family. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated. Each year is always a surprise as to what things you do and give to us, but most of all it is your love for my family and I that stands out the most. =================================================== Share with me in welcoming a new arrival to the family of Derek & Danielle Wood and FCC. Her name is Ava Lynn Wood, weighing 8 lbs. and 13 oz. and she stands 20 inches tall. Ava was born on Sunday January 4, 2015. She is as beautiful as she is smart. Congratulations Danielle and Derek! VACATION PLANS Please let the church office know of any hospitalizations from now thru Jan. 22 as I will be gone on vacation and going to see our grandson Blayne White graduate from the Marine Corp on Jan. 16. If you need anything in my absence please call the office or our Church Board Pres. Tammy Heimer or the elders chair Bill Hams or the deacon chair Mel Gordon. God’s Peace -Pastor Steve Today was a special day in our life. We returned home where our values began. While sitting on the side of the church that was our home we wondered and discussed how it was in comparison to the past. The seat pads and the screen projector, the names we knew; however it was the children, the grandchildren and time that replaced our memories. Yes, we walked our wedding path and sealed our baptism of faith. For our two daughters it has been the building blocks for their future. Speaking for the Hicks family it was a beautiful service and we all say “Thank You”. Always the very best, Beth and Bud Youle P.S. Philip would be very proud Sunday, December 14 was a “red” letter day for my sister and me. Seldom does one experience such an occasion for special recognition of a family member, while also feeling the warmth of kinship at the church of our upbringing. The thoughtfulness and remembrances you and the congregation portrayed to us will never be forgotten. We thank you for providing the opportunity to allow us to bring our father closer to us so that we might better remember his image. The other families surely felt the same. The service, music and celebration of the third Sunday in Advent, “Love” would cause one to believe in the providence of worshipful memories. Gratefully, Lettie Hicks Diekroeger **************************************** Schedules for Elders, Deacons, Greeters, Ushers, Lay Readers, Audio and Easy Worship 2015 have been sent out.
