What is contemporary hits format?
CONTEMPORARY HITS RADIO is the most successful format in America. It combines
contemporary currents and re-currents with compatible classic hot rock hits tailored to the active
adult listener. The format has a high music rotation speed and a focused adult library featuring
the best testing songs from the 90’s and today, with a few testing favorites from the 80’s.
Contemporary does not include urban rap or heavy metal, but will play highly testing hip hop
