For over 25 years, 100.5 WYMG has been the Capital City’s home for great classic rock from bands like Aerosmith, the Rolling
Stones, the Beatles, the Who and Van Halen. Lynch & Liz are live and local each weekday morning as they cover the latest news
and chat about the topics everyone is talking about. In 2011, WYMG was awarded Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome
Awards for Best Broadcast Team (Lynch & Liz) and Best Community Service (WYMG’s Christmas Wish). In addition, WYMG works
hard to make a difference in the community through the WYMG Christmas Wish program which helps families and individuals
in-need in Central Illinois.

Bridal Extravaganza:
As brides plan one of the biggest days of their life they think of the WDBR 103.7 Bridal
Extravaganza. Every year more than 300 brides attend. For over 25 years brides have had an
opportunity to checkout big name vendors from Central IL and beyond as they plan the
wedding of a lifetime.
Cardinal Caravan:
Join the 2011 MLB World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals at the Springfield, IL Prairie
Capital Convention Center. Talk baseball with past and present STL Cardinals. Featuring
autographs and prize drawings for the kids.
KidsFest:
Ready for playtime but it’s February and too cold outside? Pack up your family and head to
KidsFest! This is an exciting one day event at the Prairie Capital Convention Center where a
portion of the proceeds is presented to Children’s Miracle Network at St. John’s Children’s
Hospital. As the kids bounce into fun with games and crafts our booth sponsors inform
children and their parents on health, safety, and education.
Easter Egg Hunt:
WDBR partnering with Knight’s Action Park hosts Central Illinois largest FREE Easter Egg
Hunt. There are 30,000 eggs stuffed with candy. Kids and parents attend the event for the
hunt, prize eggs, face painting, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association:
Come out Labor Day and Memorial Day weekend for the AMA motorcycle races sponsored
by the Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association. The IMDA has held races for over 20 years and
serves to protect and promote all motorcycle dealers and riders. AMA races come to town
for the historic “Springfield Mile,” in which bikes from all over the country attend. WYMG
sponsors the IMDA calendars and joins the fun and experience of the races.
Rockin’ Ride:
Join WYMG as they search for the hottest ride on two wheels. 100.5 WYMG makes several
appearances through the summer taking professional photos of Central Illinois’ baddest
bikes. Following each stop, listeners will vote at wymg.com for their favorite. Best bike at
each stop wins $100 and advances to the finals. Once we have our ten finalists, online voting
will determine our grand prize winner who will walk away with $1,000. The top three bikes
will be featured on the Rockin’ Ride custom poster.

Babes of Summer:
WDBR hosts our summer promotion where families come out and show-off their adorable
babies. In 2011, the Babes of Summer webpage on wdbr.com entertained over 170,000
page views, and the winning baby logged in over 60,000 votes.
Zoolie Ghoulie:
Halloween is an annual Halloween tradition hosted at Henson Robinson Zoo. Kids and
parents from the community attend a safe trick-or-treating environment. Thousands of kids
and adults take part in Zoolie Ghoulie. If you’re looking for a new way to advertise your
business, come out to the Zoolie Ghoulie in October.
Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon:
The CMN Radiothon is a 24 hour live broadcast where local companies support the
Children’s Miracle Network at St. John’s Children’s Hospital. WDBR Cares for Kids Radiothon
has raised over $560,000 in the past six years. All proceeds stay in Springfield at St. John’s
Children’s Hospital. Come join the effort with CMN and WDBR.
Christmas Wish:
Make a wish come true and sponsor WYMG’s Christmas Wish. Listeners nominate individuals and families that have done good deeds that now find themselves in need. WYMG grants
one wish per weekday starting in December and ending the day before Christmas. Donations come from sponsors that are highlighted in WYMG’s 12 hour live broadcast, trivia
night, golf outings, and web auctions.
