walk on Saturday, June 4th at Eiffel
Tower Park. Participants will run/walk
through bursts of color along the course.
The 5K run/walk begins at 8 am and the
1-mile run/walk at 8:15 am. Participants

Songwriters on the Square showcases
local musicians going “round robin” with
favorite tunes that they’ve penned themselves. “We have so much talent in our
area,” said Songwriter Night Chair Mark
Johnson. “This is a great way to spotlight it. Our very own local songwriter,
Vince Dodd, will lead the group.” Music
lovers can enjoy a variety of talented
songsmiths from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on the
east side of the courthouse lawn. Come

Henry County Relay for Life is set for
Friday June 10th at the Fairgrounds. Luminarias are on sale for $5. Luminarias
bags will be lit and will line the track the
night of Relay in honor of or in memory
of a cancer survivor. The luminarias can
be purchased in honor of care givers

Allie Carter spent Memorial Day raising money by selling
lemonade and other goodies to benefit the Darkhorse Lodge.
Allie, with the help of her friends and family, raised $1579.70
on Memorial Day at her stand. The Darkhorse Lodge is a
retreat for Combat Veterans of all military branches. Vets
received free lemonade at Allie’s stand on Monday. Allie is
pictured above with Kirk Catherwood, who will help run
the Darkhorse Lodge.
