Discover the interaction of painterly marks and quilted surfaces as you use drawing,
printing and painting media along with stitching, embroidery and other sewing
techniques. Learn how to integrate multiple techniques into the layered form of a quilt.
Participants will expand their definition of a quilt and complete a small art quilt.
Students are asked to bring:
Scissors
Assorted threads
Embroidery thread, any colors
Sewing needles
Straight pins
Sewing machine, if you have one
Beads and buttons
Two pieces of muslin fabric cut to 12” x 12”
Assorted fabrics of any kind
Two gallon-size ZipLoc storage bags
