Job Ref: 556577 - Paediatric Anaesthesia Registrars 2016 • • Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Adelaide CBD, South Australia Indicative Total Remuneration: $83,881 - $136,607 – 3 positions: Temp F/T (up to 02/02/2016) – MDP2 You will deliver anaesthesia and acute pain management to both public and private paediatric surgical and medical patients under the care of the Women's and Children's Hospital (WCH). Working as part of the Children's Anaesthesia Department, you will contribute to the delivery of optimal and safe paediatric anaesthesia care under consultant supervision primarily at the WCH, and to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) as required. On occasions, you may also be required to provide anaesthesia assistance for out of hours obstetric or gynaecologic emergencies. Demonstrating a commitment to clinical teaching of junior Anaesthesia Registrars, you will participate in research projects and audits within the Department. You will also contribute to administrative roles in the Department, such as preparation of the Registrar roster. There are three positions available for 2016, and these roles include rotational shift work, including after hours and weekends. Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. You will bring prior experience as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer in a recognised teaching hospital, including significant experience in anaesthesia and participation in a recognised anaesthesia training program, such as ANZCA. Your ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues will go hand in hand with your ability to work as an effective team member in a multidisciplinary environment.
