Do you need (free!) help with yard work, light house work, or other small projects? We are taking requests to provide assistance on Friday, April 3. If you would like to be included, please contact Elizabeth Connell at 843-813-8700. NEXT Sunday, March 29 The Hibben Worship and Nurture Committees will co-host our annual Palm Sunday Fellowship Dinner. This year’s dinner will also recognize new members joining over the past year. All members, along with their families, are invited to gather in the CLLC immediately following the one combined 10:30 worship service. Because all new members will be our honored guests, each family is asked to bring their favorite dish (enough for your family and a few extra, please). Fried chicken, red rice, green beans and beverages will be provided. Sympathy The congregation lifts John Elliott and his family in prayer following the death of his wife, Barbara, on March 12th. Funeral services were held in Walterboro at the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Chapel, followed by interment at Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hendersonville, SC. We entrust this family to God’s comforting care during their time of grief. Know Your Ministry: Spiritual Gifts for Every Believer The Galileans Life Group invites you to join us for a study of our spiritual gifts as outlined in Romans 12:4-8. As Christians, we have each been given spiritual gifts that we are called to use to reach out to others in service and love. In the book "Know Your Ministry: Spiritual Gifts for Every Believer,” we will take a look at what each of our specific gifts are, and how we might use them every day as we share the love of Christ with others. The class begins Sunday, March 29th. Study books are available in the church office for $10.00. GROUP YARD SALE Do you need to simplify your life and get rid of stuff? Would you like to support Hibben and its ministries? Here is a great opportunity! On April 11th Hibben will host a multiple family yard sale in our CLLC. Each seller will be responsible for their own space setup, pricing, selling, and clean-up. All we ask is that you donate 10% of your proceeds to any Hibben ministry. For more information, or to sign-up as a participant, contact Jennifer at [email protected]. After March 28th we will open space to friends of Hibben, if any remain. So, register soon! The Table Hibben continues our ministry of acceptance and assistance to our neighbors, The Table. We gather the third Saturday of each month from 11:00am-1:00pm and offer a free meal. We also provide a grocery bag full of food for each family who attends and we offer activities and games for children, blood pressure checks, and haircuts. The Table needs your financial donations to help cover the cost of food which we purchase through the Lowcountry Food Bank and we need volunteers/servants willing to cook, serve, and fellowship with our neighbors. If you are not presently involved in an outreach ministry at Hibben, this is a great one! The Trustees are looking for volunteers to help spruce-up the church grounds. If you’re interested in volunteering, Mike Simms, Joye Wells, or Harry Bregel can give you more information. Show your pride in Hibben and help make it look its best!
