VACANCIES Standard Bank Building 32 Govan Mbeki Avenue P O Box 318 Port Elizabeth, 6001 Tel: 041 508 7111 Fax: 041 508 7000 www.sarahbaartman.co.za SBDM is committed to employment practices that redress past imbalances in respect of race, gender, creed and disability and furthermore invites suitably qualified applicants to submit a detailed application for the following positions: Finance and Corporate Services JOB EVALUATION CO-ORDINATOR - TASK GRADE: TK 14 3 Year Contract • Salary: R417 186 – R528 552 per annum (all inclusive package) REQUIREMENTS: •An appropriate three-year tertiary qualification preferably in Human Resources or Public Administration •At least five (5) years relevant experience with two (2) years in a managerial position •Must be trained and certified on the Deloitte TASK Job Evaluation System •A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence is essential •Must be highly computer literate •Extensive knowledge in compilation of job descriptions •Ability to co-ordinate and supervise other employees and work teams’ work •Ability to speak at least two (2) official languages spoken in the SBDM area of jurisdiction •Good communication and interpersonal skills •Good report writing skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Direct and co-ordinate the job evaluation unit and subsidiary structures to facilitate the process of job evaluation within SBDM and Local Municipalities •Direct and co-ordinate the completion of various job evaluations •Co-ordinate and maintain all job evaluation results in SBDM •Manage the functions and resources pertaining to job evaluation task teams including that of an Administrative Clerk •Direct investigations into disputes/queries and provide advice to the Job Evaluation Committee and Line Management •Compilation of reports in respect of investigations and analysis for Municipal job evaluation processes •Assist and attend to grievances and disputes in respect of job descriptions, procedures and processes •Provide advice, information and guidance with regards to job evaluation related matters •Conduct training or information workshops with regards to job evaluation procedures and processes. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR – TASK GRADE: TK 13 Permanent Position • Basic Salary: R241 620 – R313 620 per annum REQUIREMENTS: •A three-year degree/diploma in Information Technology or equivalent •At least five (5) years advanced experience in IT contract management with a blend of technical skills and responsibility •A+ qualification, N+ qualification and MCSE qualifications •CCNA with three (3) years practical experience (CCNP will be an advantage) •Extensive Server Hardware knowledge (SAN experience will be an advantage) •Five (5) years Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3 and Symantec Endpoint and Security experience •WSUS experience •Good communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills •Strong analytical and problem solving abilities •A valid driver’s licence is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Analyse system logs and identify potential issues •Action and co-ordinate all support communication •Analyse all system information and identify server growth opportunities •Define and manage system activities •Drive system developments and support •Provide training and support to users •Escalate decisions and any unresolved issues •Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented •Approve or recommend all required commitments and liaise with supplier and contractor representatives •Continually develop and improve on own skills set through researching best practices •Continually improve technical and business understanding •Raise and motivate any system expenditures that may be appropriate •Document all obstacles and delays, and escalate where necessary •The incumbent will be responsible for managing and administrating the CDM Servers (Windows/Linux), Network (Cisco) and VOIP (Cisco Call Manager) •This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis; it does not exclude other duties as assigned. To this effect, funding has been set aside to finance an Unemployed Graduate Programme to ensure that unemployed graduates are provided with relevant practical training skills and appropriate experience in various disciplines. SBDM furthermore invites applications from unemployed graduates who reside in the following Local Municipalities: Baviaans, Blue Crane Route, Camdeboo, Kouga, Koukamma, Ikwezi, Makana, Ndlambe and Sundays River Valley to participate in the following internship programmes: ENGINEERING Core Requirements - Tertiary Qualification: Degree or B.Tech in Civil Engineering. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Core Requirements - Tertiary Qualification: Degree or B.Tech in Computer Science OR Hardware and Software maintenance.
