RINCON RANGERS - STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS Week April 6, 2015 College Shirt Monday Please wear a shirt advertising your favorite College on Monday, April 6th. The 3rd period class with the highest percentage of participants will win prizes! School Quality Surveys Parents, there is still time to submit your School Quality Survey! Please take the time to complete it and have your child bring it to the office next week. Thank you for providing us with your input and opinions! Seniors – Caps, Gowns, and Announcements Graduating Seniors in the Class of 2015 can pick up their Caps, Gowns, and Graduation Announcements on Monday, April 6th, during Lunch. Please look for the Josten’s yellow tent and pick up your items for the Big Day! Red, White, and Blue Day! TUSD is sponsoring a special District – wide Red, White, and Blue Day this Friday, April 10th. All students and staff are encouraged to wear Red, White, and Blue to support the families of Borman Elementary School on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. DM is experiencing one of the largest deployments in its history and we want to support our military families. Please wear your patriotic colors to school on Friday! Weekly College Bulletin Check out the newly formatted Weekly College Bulletin! There is a section just for Juniors! Ivesia Dance Concert Members of our Ivesia Dance Team will perform on Friday, April 10th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Join us for a wonderful evening of Dance! RUHS Ranger Softball Alumni Day Our RUHS Softball team is sponsoring an Alumni Day on Saturday, April 11th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ranger Softball Field. All alumni from UHS and Rincon are invited to attend and if they so desire to play a little ball against current players, Varsity and JV. A registration form is attached if you wish to play or donate to the program. We will have activities for kids of all ages, a silent auction, and great food! Spanish Proficiency Exam Our district is offering a Spanish Proficiency Exam for High School Credits. Students who wish to take the test should get a permission slip from their Counselor and complete a registration form online. The Test is on Saturday, April 11th, from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m., at Pueblo High School. Please see your Counselor for more information. AZ Merit Tests We will be administering the AZ Merit Tests on April 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, and 20th to students enrolled in English 9, English 10, English 11, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. We will be on adjusted schedules for these tests so stay tuned for next week’s announcements. Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, April 13th & 14th. No Checks after April 25th The Finance Office will be unable to accept personal checks after April 25th. After that date transactions for this school year must be in cash only. Thank you! TUSD Sports Physical Fair TUSD will once again sponsor Sports Physicals for only $10! Our Sports Physical Fundraiser Event will be on Saturday, May 9th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Catalina High School Gymnasium. The $10 Fee will go back into our Rincon Athletic Department! Please consider this inexpensive option for your child’s Sports Physical for next year. Congratulations to Alice Vail Middle School! Thank you to all of you who helped to assist Alice Vail with winning the Instrumental Music Center IMCROCKS Brass-a-Palooza! They will receive a large amount of Brass Instruments from Instrumental Music Center for their Band. Home Athletic Events It is a BIG week for Home Athletic Contests and there is something every afternoon for our Ranger Sports Fans! Varsity Baseball plays home games on Monday, Thursday, and Friday next week. Varsity Softball will host games on Thursday and Friday. JV Baseball and Softball will play at home on Tuesday. Girls Tennis will host their matches on Tuesday. Boys Tennis will play at home on Wednesday and Thursday. Varsity Boys Volleyball will host a game on Thursday.
