4 May 2015 Liebe Freunde The Committee would like to thank all of you who supported us at our very successful Dinner back in March. We are sure you would agree that Quentin Peel was an excellent and very informative speaker. 2015 VISIT TO ALZEY Many of us are looking forward to the forthcoming visit to Alzey. We depart for Alzey on Thursday 3rd September and return on Monday 7th September. The programme is in the process of being finalised. Those of you who are travelling to Alzey will receive a separate communication shortly. SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR 2015 There are a number of members who still have not paid their annual subscriptions for this year. If you are one of these, a form is attached. If you are unsure whether you have paid or not, please contact the Treasurer, Andy Young ([email protected]). You may wish to consider setting up a standing order to simplify this process (form is attached) The British German Association Friends of Alzey are affiliated to the British German Association (BGA) as a town twinning organisation. Affiliation brings benefits such as access to the programme of events organised by BGA and regular communications received from BGA by Susan Vinther, secretary of Friends of Alzey. More information is available from Susan or at www.britishgermanassociation.org This summer the BGA is organising: Parliamentary Day – June 18th – House of Lords Cholmondeley Room and Terrace. Guest speaker to be announced AGM & Summer Drinks Reception – July 15th – 34 Belgrave Square As members of the Friends of Alzey, we are entitled to slightly reduced ticket prices for these events. QUIZ NIGHT Our next Quiz Night will take place on Saturday 14 November 2015 at Park Hall at 7.00 for 7.30pm. Further details will be circulated closer to the time but please reserve the date.
