ENERGISING AUSTRALIAN GRASSLAND MANAGEMENT We invite you to attend a one day symposium and a book launch sharing current perspectives and research on Australian native grasslands SYMPOSIUM 9.30am – 5.15pm, May 7th 2015 Mueller Hall, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne PRESENTATIONS INCLUDE: Plenary talk from Assoc Prof Mark Hovenden (UTAS) Outcomes of social and ecological research work conducted by ARCUE as part of the project: Australian Native Grasslands: Guiding Landscapes and Communities in Transition. Presentations from a range of speakers, including: John Morgan (La Trobe University), Kathryn Wells (K2C), Georgia Garrard (RMIT), Paul Gibson-Roy (GA), Reg Abrahams (Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative), Dave Kendal (ARCUE), Adrian Marshall (University of Melbourne) and more. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided. BOOK LAUNCH 5.30pm – 6.30pm, May 7th 2015 After the symposium please join us for a drink and nibbles to celebrate the launch of: Land of Sweeping Plains: Managing and Restoring the Native Grasslands of South-eastern Australia, edited by: Nicholas Williams (University of Melbourne), Adrian Marshall (University of Melbourne), John Morgan (La Trobe University) Mueller Hall, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne We hope that you can join us as we work together to energise grassland conservation research and management. LOCATION Mueller Hall is in the National Herbarium of Victoria building - on the corner of Birdwood Avenue and Dallas Brooks Drive, F Gate, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, approximately 2km from the city centre and a short tram ride from Flinders Station. Street metered car parking (up to four hours) is usually available close to entry gates.
