PTA News
Dear all,
A huge thank you to Nina and Sarah for all their hard work and sleepless nights organising last
night’s Indulgence evening. It was a wonderful atmosphere and a real opportunity to get out and
relax. We raised over £400 and it was another fantastic way of meeting other Meriden Parents/
Teachers and Friends while treating ourselves a little!
Having said that it is about the kids so; the School Disco is set for Monday 18 th May, letters will
come out today so please get your forms in by Friday of next week. We haven’t received any
offers of hotdog servers as yet so for now it will be just sweets, drinks and glow sticks on sale, let
us know if you’d like to change that.
*****Newsflash*****
We will be having a cake sale after school in the playground today—Friday 8th May,
so bring your purses!
If you would like to contact us, please email [email protected]
Don’t forget to look at our section on the school website. You can see who we are and how we
spend all the money raised.
Thank you for your continued support

School Notices
Walk to School News!
We recently sent off details for ‘the hands up draw’ run by the LA, which surveys the number of children
walking, scooting and cycling to school and I’m pleased to say Meriden was drawn out as a winner!
We have been awarded a Theatre in Education Tour delivered by 'MoMo Theatre' in July. This will focus
on promoting sustainable travel and road safety in an entertaining and exciting way.
Look out for our new class competition ’Stroll and Roll’ which will be launched by our Junior Road Safety
Officers, Jason and Mia, in the coming weeks.
Thank you to everyone who keeps the car at home!
Lost Property
Please do check the school website to claim items of lost property. We have school jumpers and
cardigans galore!

Year 5 visit to Kingswood
Good luck to all of Year 6 with their SATs next
week. We are extremely proud of them as they
have all worked so hard.
We’ve been getting updates on how well
the class are doing at Kingswood this
week. They’ve had a lovely time—look out
for photos on the website next week!
Remember next week there will be a Year 6
Booster Breakfast Club available all week from
8am...bacon and sausage sandwiches will be
available!

Dear God
Teach us to be kind and generous and
