The SkyOne family is expanding again! The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the
members of British Airways Employees Federal Credit Union (BAEFCU) have approved a merger
with SkyOne. On October 1, BAEFCU members officially became SkyOne members, and on November 1, BAEFCU members’
accounts will be converted to our core systems. We’re also welcoming all of the BAEFCU employees to the SkyOne family—
they will play a critical role during the conversion and beyond, providing excellent service to members of both credit unions.
SkyOne and BAEFCU share a common bond, which is rooted in providing affordable financial tools to employees and family
members of the air transportation industry. Thanks to this union, 2,200 new members and $20 million in assets will join SkyOne,
making us 37,000 members strong. Members of BAEFCU will now have access to products and services they didn’t have
before.

In a Traditional retirement account, you’re required to withdraw funds each year starting at age 70½, regardless of whether those
funds are needed. The RMD amount is variable depending on how much money is in your account as well as the average adult
lifespan (recalculated annually by the IRS). The IRS mandates this withdrawal because Traditional retirement account funds have
never been taxed.
By requiring RMDs, the amount withdrawn becomes part of your taxable income, which could affect your overall tax
situation and Social Security benefits.* Moreover, you could be penalized for failing to meet your RMD withdrawal
obligation.
It is important to make sure you understand RMD rules so you can make smart decisions. As you plan for RMD Withdrawal, if
you do not need the funds and would like to make a charitable donation, please consider supporting the Women in Aviation (WAI)
Endowment Fund or another charity. A charitable donation supports a cause you believe in and often has tax benefits. The WAI helps
