Second Sunday of Easter April 12, 12, 2015 Confirmation Sunday At 11:00 am on April 26h, we have nine young people who will affirm their faith and take on the responsibility of their faith journey. The 8:30 am service that day will be a regular Sunday service, but 11:00am will be nine young adults affirming their faith in Jesus Christ. All are welcome as we celebrate this special time with them. Altar flowers are needed. needed. If you can sponsor them in memory of or in honor of a loved one please call the church office for available dates. You can also sponsor them to remember a special day such as an anniversary or baptism or for a holiday. They are only $40.00 for two vases. AT HOME Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Montevideo, MN Godly Choices ~ Grade 6 A milestone is a meaningful, memorable moment in the lives of individuals and communities. Milestone Ministry provides a faith milestone as a marker along life’s journey that says, “This is something important, and God is here, too.” It is a faith formation practice for both home and congregation that helps all generations recognize God’s presence in everyday life. Leader: At this time we are delighted to invite forward those students and parents who are participating in the ‘Godly Choices’ Milestone. Leader: Leader: The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:30-32: And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption. Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. As we grow, we learn to make Godly decisions. All: We rejoice that you have learned in Sunday school the Creed and Ten Commandments. May these be be a rockrock-solid base on which to make Godly choices Leader: Let us pray together: All: Dear Lord, each day we meet people who need to hear of your grace and mercy.
