החזר שכר לימוד לאזרחים אמריקאים

‫בשנת ‪ 2009‬החליט הממשל בארה"ב על מתן החזר כספי של עד ‪ 40%‬משכר הלימוד עבור‬
‫אזרחים אמריקאים הלומדים במוסדות אקדמיים המוכרים על פי רשויות המס בארה"ב ‪.‬‬
‫הטכניון‪ ,‬כמוסד אקדמי בינלאומי‪ ,‬מוכר על ידי רשות החינוך בארה"ב‪ ,‬ולפיכך קיימת סבירות‬
‫גבוהה שאתם זכאים להחזר כספי על שכר הלימוד לשנת ‪ 2009‬ו‪.2010-‬‬

‫שיעור ההחזר הכספי נע בד"כ בין ‪ 850-1400‬דולר לסטודנט לשנה בהתאם לגובה שכר‬
‫הלימוד וקריטריונים נוספים‪.‬‬
‫כדי להקל על הסטודנטים ברחבי הארץ‪ ,‬אגודת הסטודנטים נוטלת חלק בפרוייקט ארצי‬
‫המאפשר קבלת הדרכה ללא תשלום בנוגע לתהליך והקירטריונים להחזר‪ .‬סטודנטים‬
‫המעוניינים לבדוק את זכאותם להחזר מוזמנים לפנות לרכז הפרויקט הארצי ולהשתתף‬
‫בפגישות ההדרכה‪.‬‬
‫כמו כן‪ ,‬לשם מילוי הטפסים ניתן לפנות לרכז הפרויקט (אשר הינו מורשה חתימה מטעם‬
‫רשות המיסים האמריקאית) המעניק שירות זה בתשלום המתבצע לאחר ההחזר הכספי ‪.‬‬
‫שימו לב‪ :‬במהלך שנת ‪ 2010‬למעלה מ‪ 800-‬סטודנטים קיבלו את ההחזרים במסגרת‬
‫הפרויקט ועד כה ‪ 100%‬מהבקשות שהוגשו התקבלו ע"י רשות המיסים בארה"ב‪.‬‬

You may be eligible to receive a
refund on your 2009 & 2010 tuition fees!
Dear student,
Last year, the U.S government introduced a new education tax credit, which awards a certain refund
of tuition fees to U.S citizens who study in academic institutions recognized by the IRS .
The Technion is accredited by the U.S DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. Therefore, there is a
high probability that you may be eligible for a refund on your tuition fees.
Please note the following citation from the official I.R.S web site : www.irs.gov
The amount of refund may range between $850- $1400 per
student, depending on actual tuition paid and other factors
The student associations have formed a free-of-chrage joint training project aimed to support
eligible students all over the country. The training agenda is focused on both process and forms
used for the tax credit submission.
Assistance can also be received through the project coordinator to fill out the appropriate forms by
payment made only after the refund is received.
Please note :during 2010 within the framework of the project more than 800 students
have received their refund payments and until now 100% of the tax returns submitted
were approved by the I.R.S.
