Lew’s Angler of the Year
Upon completion of the last sanctioned event of 2016, one
Lew’s Angler of Year will be chosen based on the member
with the highest number of points overall sanctioned FLW
BFL divisions. The Lew’s Angler of the Year will be given a
$1,000 gift certificate good for any Lew's products. Please see

Fishing Awards Program for
the 2016 FLW® BFL™*
tournament fishing season!
Lew’s will award cash prizes to
the Speed Fishing Awards members
who are the winners or highest qualifying
finisher of sanctioned events.
The program is just
$29.95 ($24.00 plus $5.95 in shipping and handling)
for a one year membership.
(Valid through December 31, 2016) membership
and gives all anglers the chance to compete for, and win,
extra money just for fishing with Lew’s rods and reels.

Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards Incentive
Program Official Rules
1. Registration for Lew’s program must be submitted
and confirmed prior to any sanctioned tournament
or event. Previous members of the 2015 Lew’s
Speed Fishing Award program will need to re-register for the 2016 season.
2. Membership costs $29.95 ($24.00 plus $5.95 in
shipping and handling.) and is valid through December 31, 2016.
3. Angler must be the owner of any Lew’s rod(s)
and reel(s) manufactured and registered during or after 2013. Warranty registration will be
verified on every item.
4. Winners/highest eligible finishers must be verified
through the tournament organization via website, official organization publication or tournament director.
5. Lew’s decal must be visible on the boat (windshield,
outside gunnel, etc.) and tow vehicle. Decals are
provided when membership is purchased. This rule
does not apply to co-anglers.
6. Lew’s logo must be on angler's tournament jersey
and or an official Lew's apparel item must be worn
during the tournament. A Lew’s cap is provided
when membership is purchased.
7. Lew’s reserves the right to request photographic
evidence of rod/reel ownership and use at any
time. Failure to provide photographic evidence will
result in disqualification in the Lew’s Speed Fishing
Awards program.
8. Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards program winners will
be responsible for paying all taxes on contingency
earnings.
9. All Lew’s program claims must be submitted within
30 days of tournament completion to be considered
eligible for payout. Late submissions will not be
considered eligible. Form can be found at

a. Cash payouts will be in the form of a bank check,
and will be sent via the U.S. mail.
b. Gift certificates are only good through Lew’s directly.
Once you receive your gift certificate through email/
mail, please call 877-470-5397 to place your order.
c. Winners/highest finishers should allow at least
8 weeks for approval, processing, and distribution
of payouts/gift certificates.
d. Lew’s reserves the right to hold cash payouts/
gift certificates until a W9 is on file for the
application. The W9 form can be found at

10. A Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards member winning a
sanctioned FLW® BFL™ tournament will be awarded
the Tournament Winner Award.
a. The member will be given the choice of a $250
cash payout from Lew’s Fishing or a $500 gift
certificate for any Lew’s Fishing product.
b. Gift certificates may only be redeemed exclusively
through Lew’s Fishing.

11. If a Lew’s SFA program member does not win the
event, the highest eligible finisher placing in the top
20 will receive the Highest Finisher Award.
a. The member will be given the choice of $125 cash
payout from Lew’s Fishing or a $250 gift certificate
for any Lew’s fishing product.
b. Gift certificates may only be redeemed exclusively
through Lew’s Fishing.

12. The Lew’s Angler of the Year will be determined
after the last sanctioned event in 2016 as the
member with the highest number of points overall
FLW® BFL™ divisions.
a. If a member competes in multiple divisions, Lew’s
will only consider the points from the highest
ranking division. Points cannot be combined for a
higher placement.
b. In the event of a tie, Lew’s will revert to the total
weights in the members highest ranking division.
c. The Lew’s Angler of the Year will be given a $1,000
gift certificate good for any Lew’s Fishing products.
d. The gift certificate may only be redeemed exclusively through Lew’s Fishing.

Q1: Where can I sign up?

the membership, and one of our awards employees will email you to complete your registration.
Q2: How do I get paid/receive my gift certificate
once I win?
A2: Winners will be verified through the tournament
organization. Claims must be submitted within
30 days of the tournament win/highest placing
member in the top 20 to be valid. The form can

allow up to 8 weeks for processing and distributing the payout.
Any rod and reel manufactured since 2013

do they pay?
A4: For 2016, this program is limited to BFL™

Q5: Where do I have to finish to get paid?
A5: Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards members finishing
in First Place in sanctioned events are eligible for
payouts. If a Lew’s Speed Fishing Awards member does not win the tournament, the member
placing the highest (within the top 20) is eligible
for a payout.
Q6: What is the Lew’s Angler of the Year?
