Asia's Queen of Song performs with the WSO
Winnipeg, MB - May 15, 2014 - Pilita Corrales,
known as Asia's Queen of Song, will perform with
the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra tonight at
8:00 pm at the Centennial Concert Hall.
Filipino performer
Pilita Corrales has
been wowing
audiences around the
world since the 1950's
and is well known for
her versatility in
singing, acting,
modelling, hosting and
being an entertainer.
She was the very first
Filipino artist to
perform at Caesars
Palace in Las Vegas
at the personal
initiation of Sammy Davis, Jr. and has recorded at
least 128 albums. In 2012, she became a judge for
The X Factor Philippines.
For this concert, she will sing in Spanish, Filipino
and English. A few well-known songs in English
include Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On and
Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. She will also perform
some of her original songs such as Pipit, Matud Nila
and Paano.
