Newsletter Spring 2015 NOTE FROM PHIL THAIN, FUTURE SKILLS TRAINING CEO The academic year 2014/15 has overall been a year of growth and progress for Future Skills, alongside some staff Riding in dinghies on the residential changes. All our main projects have continued successfully, particularly the mentoring helping our young people to re-engage with education. Through additional referrals we are in a more stable financial position than previously, allowing us to plan further ahead than we have been able to in the past. KEY PROGRESS AND SUCCESS 78% of young people who left Learn2Live progressed into full time education. 71% of young people mentored progressed into full time education. FUTURE PLANS To expand our marketing to increase the number of regular referrals. To expand the Infuse team to help grow Infuse. Infuse has attracted over 200 young people this year. We ran our first winter residential, spending a week at Bewel Water in February. Battersea Lions U21 team finished the season respectfully mid table. FINANCIAL NEED £23,985 to cover the staff cost of Infuse for 2015/16.
