2007 WEBER STATE WILDCATS
Midfielder Shelli Gough will join fellow seniors
Natalie Blaylock and Cassidy Williams in a quest for their third
Big Sky Championship in four years at Weber State. The Wildcats have earned a
berth in the conference tournament every year during the trio’s tenure, winning
the title in both 2004 and 2005.

OUTLOOK: Kelsie is a very athletic player who is strong both offensively and defensively...
Will move to the right outside midfielder position, which is much more of a natural position for her
than the defender spot where she spent most of 2006... Enters her second season with the Wildcats with career totals of seven points on two goals and three assists.
As a Freshman in 2006: Kelsie was one of the premier freshmen in the Big Sky Conference
this past season... Broke into the starting lineup on Sep. 23 against UTEP and remained a starter
for the final 11 matches... Spent most of her playing time as a defender after injuries siphoned
depth from the Wildcats’ back line... Scored seven points on two goals and three assists... Attempted 22 shots and put 11 on-goal for a .500 SOG percentage... Recorded her first career
point with an assist to Molli Neilson in a 2-0 win over Northern Iowa on Sep. 1... Her first career

OUTLOOK: Hayley is a two-time All-Big Sky Conference First Team performer... Will look to
have a bit of a rebound season as a junior after an ankle injury severely limited her during the second half of 2006... When healthy, she is one of the most dominant players in the Big Sky... Enters
2007 with career totals of 22 points on seven goals and eight assists.
As a Sophomore in 2006: Hayley started hot in 2006, scoring seven points over the team’s
first seven matches, but an ankle injury suffered on Sep. 30 against Western Illinois severely
limited her for the second half of the year and she did not score in the final 12 outings... Finished
the year with two goals and three assists, tying for fifth on the team... Led the team in shots with
52... Played in 16 matches and started 15 times... Scored the game-winning goal in WSU’s 2-0
victory over Northern Iowa on Sep. 1... Two of her three assists came in the team’s 2-2 tie with
South Dakota State during the Bison Invitational in Fargo, North Dakota... The Wildcats were 3-0-1

scored 15 points on five goals and five assists... Was one of only two Wildcat freshmen (along
with Ashtyn Webster) to start every game in 2005... She set WSU freshman records for games
played and games... Her 15 points tied for third best on the team in 2005 and is the second best
for a freshman in WSU history (Natalie Hensley 25 in 2000)... Her five assists was third on the
team and matched the school’s freshman record, tying Hensley’s mark from 2000... Hayley also
scored a pair of game-winning goals. The first came on Oct. 1 in a 1-0 win over Utah State. The
second came in a crucial Big Sky match as WSU defeated Northern Arizona 4-1 on Oct. 27. The

deal of action off the bench for the Wildcats on the back line... Has recorded four career
points on four assists.
As a Sophomore in 2006: Lisa played in 17 matches for Weber State, starting a careerhigh three times... Scored two points on two assists for the second-straight season...
Both of her assists came in 4-0 wins for WSU (Sep. 17 vs. Ohio, Sep. 30 vs. Western
Illinois)... The Wildcats are 4-0 when Lisa records an assist and have outscored their opponents 15-2 in those four matches.

OUTLOOK:
Cassidy is making the move to the right outside defender position, providing a
big boost to the Wildcat back line and opening up a spot for Kelsie Ehlers to move to the outside
midfielder position. The move will also give the Wildcats an added offensive presence in the back
line as she is very accustomed to getting forward in the attack... Has posted career totals of nine
points on two goals and five assists.
As a Junior in 2006: Cassidy played, and started, in all 19 matches for the Wildcats... Scored
a career-low two points on a pair of assists, despite posting career-high’s with 21 shots and nine
shots on-goal... Assisted on the game-tying goal in WSU’s 1-1 tie with Northern Arizona on Oct.
15... Matched her single match career-high of three shots twice last year and her career-high of
two shots on-goal three times last year... Was an All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention.
As a Sophomore in 2005: Played in 20 of 21 games, missing only the Big Sky regular season
finale against Sacramento State on Oct. 29 after suffering an injury against Northern Arizona two

OUTLOOK: Ashtyn continues to be a solid force in the central defense for the Wildcats... During her career, the team has posted a 1.10 Goals Against Average overall and
they have recorded the second- and fourth-best GAA’s in school history over the last
two years.
As a Sophomore in 2006: Ashtyn continued to add to her total of consecutive starts
as she started all 19 matches as the Wildcat sweeper... Earned All-Big Sky Conference
Second Team honors... Recorded the first shots of her career, ending the season scoreless on five shots... Put three of her five shots on-goal for a shots on-goal percentage of
.600... Led the Wildcat defense to a 1.04 Goals Against Average overall and to a 0.95
mark in Big Sky play... The 1.04 GAA ranks as the second-best mark in WSU soccer
history, behind the 0.58 posted in 1998.

OUTLOOK: Rebecca established herself as the successor to the goalkeeping position as a freshman in 2006 and should remain the starter as she enters her sophomore
season.
As a Freshman in 2006: Rebecca won the starting goalkeeper job in fall camp and held
the job throughout the season… Played -- and started -- in 17 games for the Wildcats in
2006… Finished the year with over 1,596 minutes played… Posted a 9-7-1 record with
83 saves, four shutouts and a 1.07 Goals Against Average… Went 4-2-1 with one shutout, 31 saves and a 0.95 GAA in Big Sky Conference play… Recorded her first career
shutout in a 2-0 win over Northern Iowa on Sep. 1… Also earned shutouts against Ohio,

pace off the bench for the Wildcats at the front of the attack... Could see a good deal of
her time teamed up front with her twin sister, Abby, as the pair are especially effective
playing together.
