Adapta Plus Shelving - Basic Components &
Technical Specifications
WIRE SHELVES STARTER UNIT
• Top and bottom shelves are required with capability of adding other
shelves to complete a unit. Intermediate shelves can be sloped front to back
or vice versa.
• Top mat wire is fabricated of .135”- 3.4mm dia. steel wire spaced
3/4”-19mm apart, running front to back, forming a waterfall marine edge.
Shelf ends, edges and reinforcing members are 1/4”- 6.4mm dia. steel wire.
Shelf is reinforced with .187”- 4.7mm serpentine wire running the length
of the shelf.
All contact points are resistance welded.
• Finish: Bright Zinc, Nickel Chrome, Tech-Seal® and Stainless Steel.
POSTS
• Vertical supports at four corners.
• Nickel chrome finishes or Tech-Seal® 1”- 25.4mm square,
16 gauge cold rolled steel.
Stainless Steel is 18 gauge, 1” (25.4mm) square. Posts are notched
on 1” (25.4mm) centers formed into each corner. Post ends are fitted with
plastic top caps and leveling feet.
Posts are numbered on one side every inch.
• Finish: Nickel Chrome, Tech-Seal® and Stainless Steel.
Starter Unit
JOINING BARS
• Joining bars are used on top and bottom shelves
(one for each post when ordering).
• Formed from 11 gauge, Nickel Chrome, Tech-Seal® and Stainless Steel.
CLIPS (PCC)
• Four clips are needed for each intermediate shelf. Clips join shelf to posts.
• Nickel Chrome, Tech-Seal® are formed from 13 gauge.
Stainless Steel is formed from 14 gauge, type 304.
SOLID SHELF COVER
• Galvanized, Tech-Seal® or Stainless Steel cover with a marine edge clips on
to wire shelf. Solid covers have the advantage of retaining small items and
spillage and providing a flat work surface. Removable if required.
Starter & Straight Line Add-on Unit
ADD-ON SHELVING (ADDED TO STARTER UNIT)
ADD-ON SUPPORTS (PAH)
• Two Stainless Steel PAH’s (add-on supports) per shelf are needed for each
additional shelf. For joining continuous shelves on adjacent fixed units, 2 are
required per shelf thus eliminating 2 posts and 2 joining bars.
CORNER “S” HOOKS (PBC200)
• Two Stainless Steel “S” hooks per shelf are needed for each additional shelf.
• For joining 2 shelving units at 90° angles thus eliminating 2 posts and
2 joining bars. Shelves cannot be at a different level than starter unit shelves.
• Stainless Steel (type 304) 14 gauge.
Starter & 90° Add-on Unit
To mobilize a cart, add stem casters to the assembled starter unit.
CASTERS
• Casters fit into the bottom opening of post. (Hammer required)
DOLLY BASE UNIT WITH PLATE CASTERS
(Add dolly base and plate casters to the assembled starter unit)
• Casters bolted to bottom of dolly.
• Heavy-duty Steel construction with Tech-Seal® finish for superior
stability and load handling. Wraparound bumpers to protect
walls and doors.

Security Units & Carts
Unique design provides a rugged and economical
security for valuable items.
Front door has a lockable handle.
SECURITY UNITS AND CARTS
Security units are an ideal method for storing and transporting valuable material.
The open wire construction 2’’x2’’ (508x508mm) allows for visibility into the unit
so items can be checked any time.
Casters may be added to a security unit in order to provide a mobile unit.
For mobile heavy-duty transport applications, a dolly base and 6’’ (1524mm)
casters are available.
When determining the desired number of shelves
include one top and one bottom shelf.
Example: SEC484F has four shelves.
Three are usable for storage and the fourth is the top of the unit.

SEISMIC SHELVING SYSTEM
The Adapta Plus Seismic Shelving System is approved by the California Office of
Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). These products have been
specifically designed and tested to ensure maximum strength and stability during
earthquakes. Storage units are equipped with foot plates that are bolted to the
floor and steel sway braces on sides and backs. Upper and lower anti-tip devices
are available with Cari-Stor Hi-Density floor track system.

ACCEPTANCE
All orders are subject to acceptance of terms and conditions of sale, regardless of the form in which submitted.
All orders are subject to price prevailing at date of shipment and are quoted ex-works Cari-All plant.
Custom manufactured or special order products may be subject to a deposit at time of order.
ORDER CONFIRMATION
To avoid duplication of order, the word “CONFIRMATION” should appear on all documents which are sent to confirm
orders already placed by telephone, fax or any other way.
PAYMENT TERMS
Minimum order $250.00. Terms are Net 30 days, ex-works shipping plant (subject to credit approval). Freight, taxes
and handling charges are not subject to discount. An annual service charge of 18% will be assessed on past due
accounts.
SHIPMENTS
Shipments will be made ex-works Cari-All plant. If goods are damaged when received, buyer must declare such
damages at time of receipt of merchandise, directly on the shipping documents and claim must be filed immediately
with the transport company, copy to original point of sale. If after receipt of merchandise, concealed damage is discovered, buyer must immediately notify the delivering carrier requesting an inspection. This inspection report should
be used to support buyer‘s claim against the carrier. Any claim for damage or shortage must be filed by buyer with the
delivering carrier, copy to original point of sale. Unless a preferred routing is specified at the time of order, shipment
will be made the best way, transportation prepaid and added to invoice.
For COLLECT shipments, buyer will be fully responsible for all damages and claims.
RETURN POLICY
1- All returns must be authorized by original sales point.
2- Each request must include the following information :
A - Customer name and address.
B - Our invoice number.
C - Our invoice date.
D - Customer P.O. number.
E - Quantity, catalogue number and description of item.
F - Reason for return.
3- Upon receipt of your request, a return authorization number will be issued by us and this must be clearly
referenced with your return of the new, unused merchandise.
4- The return shipment must be coordinated with our Customer Service representative, who will advise the proper
mode of transport for the return.
5- All returned goods may be subject to a minimum 20% handling charge based on state, condition of goods and
reason for return.
6- Returns must be shipped prepaid and returned within 10 days after receipt of original shipment.
Returns will not be authorized for the following:
1 - Items purchased on a ”special order” basis (unless original vendor will accept the return).
2 - Items that are custom manufactured.
3 - Goods damaged or bent and without original packaging/shipping documents.

factory inspection discloses to be defective. Shipments of defective material for repair must be sent prepaid.
Cari-All Inc., Tech-Seal® finish is warranted against rust for a period of ten years from date of original invoice to the
