2016 AUDITION INFORMATION PACKET
From performing on the sidelines at all Arizona Cardinals home games to appearing at local community
service and corporate events, the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders are recognized throughout the country for
their talent, exciting dance routines and professionalism.
The cheerleaders have performed throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. At the invitation
of the Pentagon, the cheerleaders also have entertained U.S. military troops in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bosnia,
Egypt, Greenland, Kosovo, Bahrain and China.
Through their talent, showmanship, enthusiasm and dedication to their community and country, the
cheerleaders have established themselves as an integral part of the Cardinals organization.
AUDITION DATES & LOCATION
Online Application Deadline: Monday, April 4
Preliminary Open Auditions: Saturday, April 9
Mandatory check-in: 8:00 am

Semi-Finals: Sunday, April 10

APPLICATION PROCESS
To register for 2016 Cardinals Cheerleaders auditions you will need to complete the online registration at
azcardinals.com/auditions. The online registration includes:

◆ $25 registration fee via PayPal
◆ Print and complete a copy of the waiver to bring with you to check-in

Must be a high school graduate or have G.E.D. by June 2016
Must be able to attend complete audition process
Must be available Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 pm,
April 2016 – March 2017 for rehearsals
Must be able to attend all 2016 Cardinals home games
May not be members of another professional or college dance or cheerleading team
Must have reliable means of transportation to travel to rehearsals and events
Must be able to show proof of health insurance, a recent physical, age verification
and a diploma, as needed
Must provide a recent non-returnable headshot and résumé

AUDITION PROCESS
PRELIMINARIES: SATURDAY, APRIL 9

heck in will begin at 8:00 am at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Please bring a copy
of your headshot and résumé with you to check-in along with the completed waiver.
◆ From check-in, candidates will be escorted to the lower level of the stadium where the
remainder of events will be held.
◆ Preliminaries will consist of two rounds of competition. Candidates will be taught two
dance combinations which will be performed in small groups for the judges.
◆ If you advance to semi-finals, you will learn a third routine at the end of the day
Saturday.
SEMI-FINALS: SUNDAY, APRIL 10
◆ Check-in for semi-finalists will begin at 11:00 am.
◆ Candidates will review the routines taught on Saturday.
◆ Semi-finalists will introduce themselves to the judges and perform the routines in front
of the judges in small groups.
◆ Upon completion of routines, we will announce the finalists.
◆ Those selected as finalists will need to stay for a brief meeting with the Director to
discuss the final portion of auditions and sign up for an interview time.
INTERVIEWS: MONDAY, APRIL 11 & TUESDAY, APRIL 12
◆ Finalists are required to schedule a 15 minute interview with the Director.
◆ Interviews will be held during the day at the Cardinals Practice Facility.
◆ Business Professional attire is required.
FINALS: TUESDAY, APRIL 12 – THURSDAY, APRIL 14
◆ Finals will follow the format of a Cardinals Cheerleaders rehearsal from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.
◆ There will be a focus on physical fitness, technique and the audition routines.
