develop their wheelchair skills.
In an effort to continually improve

Wheelchair Sports NSW opened
registration up to members of all

new members of all ages joining all
the time. Being new these members also need to have the opportunity to try new sports and get
involved.
The Come ’n’ Try days are still an
opportunity for our junior members and their families to
come and experience a whole
range of sports offered by Wheelchair Sports NSW. However opening up the age restriction saw an
great increase in numbers.

sports.

Northcott Athletics Carnival
Wheelchair Sports NSW attended the Northcott Senior Athletics
Carnival on the 3rd of September. The carnival was held at Blacktown International Sports Park. The day was for high school students with both physical and intellectual disabilities.
Members Julie Charlton, Greg Luff and Chithic Machar were
there competing. It was great to see these members having a
great time. Julie and Greg raced against each other in their track
chairs, which was great to watch.
Julie was excited that we brought some other sports chairs with
us as it meant she could compete in the relay with some other
school friends that jumped in our chairs.
