We are in love with herbs for 125 years
RAUSCH AG KREUZLINGEN has been awarded the gold medal for “Best
Pharmacy Partner” in the category “hair care” for the eleventh time.
The long-established company enjoys global success and in 2015 is
celebrating its 125th anniversary – with a brand relaunch and further
innovative products.
It was the German master coiffeur Josef Wilhelm Rausch (1867-1935),
who founded the company RAUSCH in 1890 and introduced the first liquid shampoo “Champooing” to the market. Since then the hair and body
care specialty products from RAUSCH have been synonymous with highly
effective exclusive herbal extracts, with the highest quality, sustainability and reliability.
In 1949 Josef Baumann-Widmer (1902-1978) took over the small cosmetic enterprise and expanded it purposefully. His son Marco Baumann, who from an early age
was actively involved in harvesting herbs and in the production, joined him in 1968.
“Those are the best memories - chamomile, horsetail, plantain, mallow, sage – these
plants are my life.” reminisces the ambitious and knowledgeable entrepreneur, who
visited every pharmacy and drugstore in Switzerland in order to present his palette
of herbal products. Today his 36 year old son, Lucas Baumann is ready to take over
the responsibility of the cosmetic enterprise with its 164 employees.
With the brand relaunch in the jubilee year 2015, the herbal specialists from Kreuzlingen are following their predefined growth strategy. This will ensure their market
position as leading supplier of Swiss herbal hair and body care products. “We want
to continue to convince through performance and we don’t plan to let ourselves
be outdone in our objective of offering optimal benefit in our field of expertise”,
announce Marco and Lucas Baumann as their motto for the next 125 years.
