Debit Card Changes Coming: ACTION REQUIRED
Horizons FCU is switching its’ debit cards
to MasterCard beginning in October.
In an ongoing quest to provide our members with more convenience
and security, Horizons FCU is switching its’ debit card platform
from VISA to MasterCard. The new Horizons MasterCard debit cards
will feature chip technology, which is more secure and makes it
more difficult for the card to be counterfeited.
Update any automatic payments you have set up through your previous
VISA debit card to reflect the new MasterCard debit card.

Horizons Federal Credit Union reminds members to please keep their accounts active. State law requires financial institutions to turn inactive
accounts, unclaimed insurance, and stock dividends and other inactive holdings over to State Comptrollers. If there has been no activity (other
than dividend posting) for three years, the money is considered to be unclaimed or abandoned. Despite efforts to contact them, the following
members have unclaimed funds with Horizons and their accounts will be turned over to State Comptrollers as a result. The state will act as
custodian for these funds until they are claimed by their rightful owners. We have been unsuccessful in contacting the following members:

Family Fun Friday!
SUCCESS!
Horizons FCU hosted the 14th annual
Family Fun Friday event from 12-3pm on
Friday August 28th at the main office in
Binghamton. Children were treated to
three hours of food, fun, music, entertainment, activities, free school supplies
and more.

The event was a huge success this
year, thanks in no small part to the generous help of our community partners.
Food for the event series was donated
by the Binghamton Mets, Huff Ice
Cream and delicious samples of gelato
were given out by Chuckster’s Inside
Scoop Ice Cream.
Lori from MIX 103 provided live music,
games and crafts for the kids. B-Mets
players and Baxter the Bearcat from BU
delighted the crowd.

Bags contained pencils, pens, crayons,
glue sticks, folders and notebooks to
prepare the kids for the upcoming
school year. Bags were provided by
Barnes and Noble and Notebooks and
folders were donated by ACCO Brands.
Children also entered to win backpacks,
which were given out throughout the
three hour event.
Horizons FCU would like to thank all
that helped make Family Fun Friday

United Health Care, Huff, Chuckster’s

United Way-Day of Caring
A highlight of 14th Family Fun Friday is
Horizons annual school supply giveaway. Nearly three hundred bags of
supplies were given out to area children.

critters to meet and learn about via the
Ross Park ZooMobile.
ON THE HORIZON
Horizons FCU volunteered again this
year on The Day of Caring. The event, a
remembrance to those who lost their lives
during the terrorist attack on September
11, 2001 also honors the many heroes
that evolved from the aftermath of that
day. Horizons was glad to be a part of
the approximately 1,000 volunteers that
came together to lend a helping hand to
local non-profits, child care centers, parks
and government agencies.
