Sharon Ward (Left) and Joyce King are
the first to enjoy our beautiful deck this
season.
Remember: the deck is a wonderful place
to share a lunch, sit and talk, or just
swing on the gliders and enjoy the flowers and the grounds.
By the time you receive this newsletter,
we will have had our third annual Grandparent’s Day celebration. However, as I
am writing this, I am still looking forward
to it coming up on Friday, June 19th. I
hope that you enjoyed all the fun we
planned for the day.
Racist and prejudicial remarks are completely inappropriate and you will be asked to leave the facility if staff becomes aware of them.

My name is Jackson Krause. I grew up between Wildwood and Round Lake, and
graduated from Warren Township High School in 2014. Since then I’ve been attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a minor in the fine arts. In my spare time I enjoy watching hockey,
practicing my painting and drawing, taking care of my cactus plants, and reading
about the world. I hope to one day be a research archaeologist for the Chicago Field
Museum of Natural History. I may only be here for the summer, but I look forward
to all of the conversation and getting to know everyone!
1
As you can see from the previous page, Jackson Krause is joining our team for the summer. He will be
working part-time from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM to help us cover the busiest part of our day. We are very happy
to have him join us in serving all of you. Eric Dolence’s last day will be July 2nd and then he will be leaving for
Arizona.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO READ YOUR NEWSLETTER FOR THE LAST DAY YOU CAN REGISTER FOR PROGRAMS. We often need to buy or order food for a program or guarantee a certain number of ticket sales. Please make sure you are aware of these dates so you don’t miss out!
It seems that many people have not been signing in for Body Conditioning and other classes. This is how
we take attendance for each class. If you do not sign in, we have no way of knowing that you attended. Remember, if you miss three consecutive classes without filling out an absentee form or calling in to tell us , you
will be removed from the class. If you do not sign in, you will be marked absent. We did take attendance
by hand for a few classes and found that our machine is recording accurately.

for the Breakfast Club, please contact Pam Nixa at [email protected] or 847-782-0558.
Please take note of the policies and procedures for trips. We amended the policies to address some recent

yourself familiar with them before registering for a trip. Thank you for your cooperation.

and pet items to military families. Manufacturer coupons for individual products (not particular stores or restaurants) can be sent to support our troops and their families.
Please cut them into individual coupons before
turning them in and separate into these three categories: food, non-food, and baby/pet items. We have a box
in the Senior Center and Anne Hollek mails them to the troops.
