Prou began his artwork in 1981, painting stencils of rats on the street walls of Paris, describing the rat as ”the only free animal in the city”, and one which ”spreads the plague everywhere, just like street art”. His name originates from the comic book Blek le Roc, using ”rat” as an anagram for ”art”. The program will be updated continously – please check nolimitboras.com for updates and more info. NATALIA RAK I was born in 1986. I graduated with the Diploma of Spatial and Poster Design in Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. I paint street art because I like the contact with nature. I´m open to the world, not like sitting in closed rooms. When I´m painting a big wall I feel a magic of large surface. I like to experience something new and have fun with it. Thanks to that I can travel and see different places. I like the smell of spray cans and I feel happy while I´m painting. ECB Hendrik ecb Beikirch is well known for his brilliant black and white portraits painted either on canvas or on large buildings. His highly poetic portraits often depict people from the immediate neighborhood appearing strange and familiar at the same time. Even though dedicated to a meticulous realism, he sometimes likes to distort his portraits by either stretching or compressing them. Moreover, the dripping technique, making single paint drops to run down, is a distinctive feature of many of his works. ISAAC CORDAL With the simple act of miniaturization and thoughtful placement, Isaac Cordal magically expands the imagination of pedestrians finding his sculptures on the street. Cement Eclipses is a critical definition of our behaviour as a social mass. The art work intends to catch the attention on our devalued relation with the nature through a critical look to the collateral effects of our evolution. With the master touch of a stage director, the figures are placed in locations that quickly open doors to other worlds. The scenes zoom in the routine tasks of the contemporary human being. SEPTEMBER 4TH A large scale mural takes an effort, more than 11 in a Swedish city takes a hugh one. No Limit Street Art Borås has been made possible by lovely positive people, building owners, authoritys, the municipality, organisations and companys. CAROLINA FALKHOLT She tends to work in large scales, site specific and through improvisation. In her practice she deals with topics like the biographical, contemporary social issues and local history. Her firm standpoints about issues like feminism and artistic freedom, and the fact that she with her work, and with her persona she take up big public spaces which clashes with patriarchal structures and provokes discussion. Carolina Falkholt’s artistic process on site is fierce and exact. Formally the colourful sfumato-like backgrounds meet her significant line drawings that form intricate meshworks, and typical motives are semiotic imagery and the female body. KOBRA Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra utilizes bright colors and bold lines while staying true to a kaleidoscope theme throughout his art. The technique of repeating squares and triangles allows him to bring to life the famous people he depicts in his images. This checkered pattern, filled with different textures, lines, and shading, builds up to Eduardo Kobra’s final masterpiece, a larger than life mural for all to see and marvel at. The murals that will decorate the city of Borås are hopefully here to stay for a long time to be enjoyed by many. 1 VISKAN AN VISK Norrby Långgata VISKAN VISKAN nggata Norrby Lå Kun gsg ata n Ku ng sg at an TEXTILE FASHION CENTER VI SK A N 10 14 AN VISK 8 T TORGE SÖDRA Br og at an Li lla VIS K AN Ka pe llg ata n 40 40 40 40 40 40 Dru vef ors väg en Va rb erg svä ge n 40 5.
