Volunteer
Volunteer to be a homework helper, a sight seeing guide
or assist with physical therapy for a teenage orphan girl.
We have a very generous host family from Our Lady of
Lourdes parish in Malverne, hosting a 17 year old girl
from an Ethiopian orphanage who is here for medical
attention.
Etetu is rapidly learning English, but she still struggles
with her school work in Math, Science, and Social Studies.
The host mom: Rosemary, has also been very generous in
paying for physical therapy out of her own pocket, but if
there is a generous minded physical therapist, she could
use some donated hours!!
The family could also use a break from time to time on the
weekends if you can take Etetu to the movies, bowling, the
mall, museums etc.
pleases email: [email protected] or call:
631-423-5012 and leave your name and phone number. If
you can spare even a few hours once in a while to assist
this incredible host family, it would very much be
appreciated.** Please note that any hours donated can
receive a letter for community service hours, if needed.
