Seasonal Decoration
at its best
Das Leitmotiv bestätigt die Chrstmasworld als unverzichtbare und
zuverlässige Trend- und Orderplattform. Messeleiterin Eva Olbrich
stellt einige der zahlreichen Highlights vor und wünscht einen
erfolgreichen Messebesuch.
The leitmotif applies this year on a broad level. The message
is simple: stories about the products will sell. Director Eva Olbrich explains
what this means, and wishes all an enjoyable and successful trade fair visit.
Welche neuen Trends sehen Sie für 2016?
Ob in privaten oder öffentlichen Räumen – in der nächsten
Festsaison geht es darum, mit ausgewählten Dekorationen
eine besondere Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Das kann ganz
schlicht passieren oder auch glamourös. Kupfer wird uns
sicherlich noch weiter verfolgen und ich rechne stark
damit, dass beim nächsten Fest die Jeanskugel am Baum
hängt. Die Dekobranche zeigt einen unbegrenzten Ideenreichtum, um beim Kunden die Lust am Feiern und Dekorieren zu steigern und ihn mit imposanten Dekorationsund Beleuchtungskonzepten in Kauflaune zu bringen.
Bietet die Christmasworld in diesem Jahr neue Angebote?
Eine ganze Menge: Mit unserem vielseitigem Eventprogramm möchten wir neue Geschäftschancen eröffnen.
Für jeden Facheinkäufer – ob aus der grünen Branche oder
aus Shopping-Centern, Hotellerie, Discountern, Lebens
mittel- oder Möbelhandel – ist eine geeignete Inspirationsquelle dabei. Mit dem neuen Angebot an frischen Blumen
und Pflanzen, die erstmals direkt von den Produzenten in
der Galleria 0 geordert werden können, möchten wir für
unsere Kunden eine zusätzliche Umsatz- und Kontakt
quelle eröffnen. Schließlich gibt es kein Fest, dass ohne
Blumen und Deko gefeiert wird. Das ist eine gewinnbringende Kombination, die wir weiter verfolgen werden.
Was sollte man sich aus Ihrer persönlichen Sicht keinesfalls entgehen lassen?
Ein Muss ist die Trendschau mit den kommenden Farben,
Formen und Materialien. Gleich daneben die Sonderschau
„design by modern nature“ mit der Integration von frischen Blumen und Pflanzen. Mein persönliches Highlight
sind auch die Verpackungsshows von Arona Khan. Ein
Blick auf unser Vortragsprogramm im Forum lohnt sich –
hier findet jeder garantiert einen Beitrag, der die persön
liche Verkaufskompetenz auffrischt.

What new trends do you foresee for 2016?
Whether in private or public premises, the aim in the
next festive season will be to create a special atmosphere.
This can be very simple or very glamorous. Copper will
continue to be with us and I am sure that jeans baubles
will be hanging from the coming season’s Christmas trees.
The decoration sector is characterised by an infinite wealth
of ideas that increases the customers’ desire to celebrate
and decorate – and puts them in the mood to consume
with striking decoration and lighting concepts.
Is Christmasworld holding any new events this year?
Yes, lots. With our multi-faceted programme of events,
we want to generate new business opportunities. For all
buyers – whether from the green sector or shopping
centres, hotels, discount markets, supermarkets or the
furniture trade – there is sure to be a source of inspiration
for everyone. With the new product group of fresh flowers
and plants, which can now for the first time be ordered
directly from the producers in Galleria 0, we aim to open
up supplementary sales and contact opportunities. After
all, no festivities are held without flowers and decorations.
And that is a profitable combination that we want to
pursue further.
What in your opinion should no visitor miss seeing?
A must is the Trend Show with the coming colours, styles
and materials and, in the immediate vicinity, the ‘design
by modern nature’ special show with integrated fresh
flowers and plants. Another of my personal highlights is
the wrapping demonstration by Arona Khan. It’s well
worth taking a look at our lecture programme in the
Forum, which is guaranteed to have something for everyone wanting to brush up their personal sales expertise.

lights with modern technology.
New additions to the range include extra long
light strings with up to 800 lamps which can
be remote controlled either from a hand-held
unit or via an app on an iPhone or other smartphone. The wooden reindeer with its outline
LEDs is a real eye-catcher. Easy to put together
and packs down flat for space-saving storage.

Sonderschau „design by modern nature“ neue Wege für

Dafür verwandeln sie die Galleria 1 in einen ganz und
gar modern dekorierten und anmutenden Wald. Die besondere Weihnachtsstimmung wird in den Arealen „Forest
Camping“, „Tree of the world“ und „Christmas cabin“ inszeniert. Frische Blumen und Pflanzen sind der absolute Blickfang der Präsentation – dazu gesellen sich Waldfiguren wie
Eule, Hirsch, Eichhörnchen oder Fuchs. Kupfer- und Goldtöne verleihen den naturverbundenen Grün-, Braun- und
Basistönen einen festlichen wie luxuriösen Look. Der Mix
aus Natur und Glamour bringt Wärme, Schönheit und
Eleganz in alle gestalteten Räume. Die Erlebniswelt „design
by modern nature“ ist die perfekte Bühne für passende
Dekoelemente der internationalen Aussteller: Alle verwendeten Materialien und Produkte sind mit Ausstellernamen

In the special “design by modern
nature” show Dutch designers Rudi

2Dezign will be presenting new ways
to make a big impact with stunning
shop window and in-store displays.
They will be turning Galleria 1 into
a uniquely modern, decorated forest.
The special Christmas atmosphere
will be conjured up in the “Forest
Camping”, “Tree of the world” and
“Christmas cabin” areas. Fresh flowers
and plants are the immediate eyecatchers, but also look out for woodland creatures such as owls, deer,
squirrels and foxes. Copper and gold
tones add a touch of festive luxury to
the natural greens and browns. The
mix of nature and glamour brings
warmth, beauty and elegance to the
decorated spaces. The “design by
modern nature” world is the perfect
stage for the decorative items from
international exhibitors. All the materials and products used are labelled
with the name of the exhibitor and
the booth number. This also applies
to the “fresh goods” which for the
first time can be ordered directly
from the producers/nurserymen in
the adjacent Galleria 0.

Smartphones sind allgegenwärtig,
jetzt lassen sich damit auch Lichterketten über eine App steuern. „Damit
sprechen wir das technik-affine Pub
likum an“, sagt Hellum-Geschäftsführer Joachim Rüther. Außerdem neu
sind die extralangen Lichterketten
mit bis zu 800 Brennstellen. Ob edle
Sterne aus gekalktem Holz oder fröhliche Glaskugeln mit Farbwechsel:
Hellum bietet in der neuen Saison ein
breites Spektrum an Kerzen, Bildern,
Figuren sowie Lichterketten für drinnen und draußen.

Again these colours are attracting
