ARCTIC GEOLOGY
Overall Goal
 Studies of geological resources in the Arctic of North America,
Greenland, and the arctic parts of Europe and Asia,
 Shearing knowledge between partner universities and UArctic members
on exploitation of mineral and hydrocarbon resources in Arctic Region
and its significant environmental, economic and cultural impact on
Indigenous people living in the region.

The Master Program for Marine and Polar Sciences
POMOR
 POMOR is a joint master program of the Saint Petersburg State
University and the University of Hamburg in cooperation with Russian
and German universities, institutes and research centers.
The Otto Schmidt Laboratory for Polar and Marine Research (OSL):
SPbSU and Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute collaboration
 The Otto Schmidt Laboratory for Polar and Marine Research (OSL)
provides a basis for coordination and development of the research
projects carried out within the framework of the Bilateral Agreement on
Cooperation in Polar and Marine Research between the Russian
Federation and Germany. Its main objective is to support young
scientists through the OSL Fellowship Program "Climate Change in
the Arctic".
