Farmer’s Rose (Bondemønster)
This design was first produced in 1932, and the set has expanded through the
years. Together with NISSE this is one of Norway’s most well known and cherished
porcelain series. Farmer’s Rose is based on the rosemaling (rose-paint) tradition
of the Telemark province. Made with feldspar porcelain with a 24 karat gold rim,
it suits both the beautiful formal or informal table.

NISSE
This year’s collection of Christmas ornaments have traditional
Norwegian motives.
Thousands of Norwegian families serve
their traditional Christmas meals on the
NISSE china. This famous decor was
drawn by the 11 year old daughter of the
factory owner as far back as 1909. The
design is inspired by the naughty and
slightly rude - “nisser” - the gnomes and
elves of the norwegian folk tales - that
live in the barns and around the farms.
The design is now a part of the Norwegian cultural heritage, and every year the
little “nisser” come out to be part of our
christmas celebrations.
