Crown Point Christian School November 15, 2012 Encouragement Corner: Each week the office attempts to keep our school family informed by way of the Gold Note. This information helps us bridge communication from the school to your home keeping you updated on meeting times, committee input, weekly activities going on in the school, hot lunch days, fund raising events, etc. This year we would like to make our communication a little more personal and interesting by adding a few pictures, an update on board functions and adding a special corner called Encouragement Highlights. In this corner, parents and grandparents can give testimonials, the faculty and board members can give positive expressions, etc. Topics can flow from positive experiences such as: + Why CPCS is such a blessing to our family! This note was recently received from Allen and Erica Ogden after their daughter, Calla, had knee surgery: Dear CPCS Family, I just wanted to write a note thanking you for the wonderful support and prayers offered on our behalf during our kindergartener Calla’s recent knee surgery and recovery. What an encouragement it was to have Calla’s teacher take so much time to communicate with us about Calla’s condition prior to surgery. We were grateful for the prayer support and God’s presence was felt throughout the day as the surgery went smoothly and Calla came out of anesthesia so well! (No crying!!) + The privilege of serving as volunteers as board members or on special committees. Calla’s classmates sent notes and cards and her face beamed! She was so encouraged by the outpouring of love. + Why I find joy in teaching at CPCS. I can’t tell you how great it was to feel peace about sending Calla back to school on crutches knowing that her teacher, aide, and classmates were all there ready to give her extra help and care. + Why we sacrifice to send our children to a Christian School. You get the picture! All positive comments about living the Christian life and being a part of belonging to the CPCS family. Turn in your note for this corner to the school office with your signature or email to [email protected]. Her recovery is going so well, and we are thankful to God for His healing and for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful school family. Sincerely, Allen, Erica, Laila, Calla, and Neila Ogden The CPCS Athletic Booster Committee would like to remind you about GoodSearch.com, a website which makes raising money for their cause incredibly easy!
