Stripped to the essence, PRIMARY is the first in a line that
deserves to be called a Quinze & Milan classic. PRIMARY
collection kicked off the use of QM FOAM™, a proprietary
material developed and produced by Quinze & Milan.
It’s a stool, a chair, a table and an eye-catcher in its own right.
PRIMARY POUF 01, which was honoured with a triple
Henri van de Velde Award (Belgium, 2001), is an all-time
favourite among grown-ups and children alike. Soft materials
and an uncomplicated design idiom are a tried and tested
formula for a happy marriage. The sassy character of this
comfortable, water-repellent stool with legs has made it a hit
worldwide : look for PRIMARY in prestigious public spaces from

Quinze & Milan is not a typical furniture label but a platform for collaborations,
a think tank and factory of ideas, designs, concepts and experiments. It’s
this approach that made Quinze & Milan turn into a successful label that
guarantees rock ‘n roll, creativity, comfort, quality, excitement and ingenuity.

On request, we can make exactly what you want. Quinze & Milan offers its
extended production platform to industrial designers and project architects.
Quinze & Milan is a label that features the work of designers and supports
other architects and designers in the realization of their ideas. We like to push
the boundaries – our own and those of the people around us. In our cosmos,
boundaries exist only to be shifted…
In addition to producing furniture at our in-house factory, we work in close
collaboration with specialized manufacturers that make use of Quinze &
Milan’s proprietary equipment when producing products and designs. In both
cases, the result is a quality product that has the added advantage of flexibility
– particularly important when serving clients with special requirements.

founder of MINIMAL,
a multidisciplinary
design studio. He’s an
accomplished designer
experienced in developing

industries consistently
delivering compelling
consumer concepts to

H Architects’ studio
focuses on works at the
intersection of architecture,
communication and new
technology. From urban
planning schemes and
buildings to installation
work and objects with new
materials, the relationship
between the human body,
technology and nature
form the background for a
new production of space.
Jürgen Mayer H. is the
founder and principal of
this crossdisciplinairy
studio. He studied at
Stuttgart University,
The Cooper Union and
Princeton Universtiy. His
work has been published
and exhibited world-wide
and is part of numerous
collections including MoMA
New York and SF MoMA.
Wiel Arets investigates
and produces space
in response to life, the
potential of function, the
character of place and
the nature of material.
As well as bespoke
architecture and urbanism
on every scale, the studio
develops products for
mass production in
collaboration with leading
manufacturers.
David Weeks is one
of America’s leading
designers. His awardwinning lighting is installed
in high-profile locations
throughout the world, in
addition to his innovative
furniture, household
products and toys. Weeks
founded New York-based
David Weeks Studio in
1996. Since then, he has
created products for
commercial and residential
uses, from desk lamps
and home accessories to
floor lamps, chandeliers,
mobiles, lounge seating
and custom retail,
commercial and residential
lighting installations.
Concrete hosts different
disciplines such as
product and interior
designers, architects,
visual marketeers and
now an urban planning/
architectural firm too.
Concrete’s deliberate
choice of breaking away
from traditional hierarchies
and the dominant forces
which dictate the design
process today, gives our
agency unprecedented
freedom. Concrete’s
designers want to be
inspired not just by
modern art but by comics
too, by ideas from the
world of architecture and
multimedia, by haute
cuisine and the snack bar.
They appear contradictory,
but, in this collision, the
perfect expression of our
post-modern age can be
found.
Kazuko Okamoto’s —
born in Chiba, Japan but
currently living in Milan
— interests lie in furniture
and productdesign. In the
past she has made tables,
shelves and chairs but also
cups and plates. Foam
and oak wood are her
favorite materials to create
furniture as the fi rst has
the most flexible form
you can play with and the
second is all about nature.
After working in a company
she stepped in the world
of freelancers, exactly
what Quinze & Milan was
looking for.

ADDING GRAPHICS
For your specific commercial project needs, Quinze & Milan
developed a paint-based technique which allows us to add
your logo, text or graphics directly on the QM FOAM™ surface,
without use of stickers. This way, the graphics stay as flexible
and elastic as the foam itself.
